Dropfleet Commander is a space wargame set in orbital environments developed by Hawk Wargames, who are also the developers of the tactical wargame, Dropzone Commander. Dropfleet Commander is a 1:15000 scale game, with models ranging from 70 to 200 mm; see videos below for an example of play.

Update 15 shows Shaltari ships painted, with their ruleset a little expanded on.
Shaltari ships are just as modular as the other factions, with a lot of different weapons.
the Jade class Frigate seems pretty simple in design, but the number of rings and the weapon chosen can all be modified to produce different weapons. This variant comes with one Gauss cannon, I believe.
Instead of the usual dump shots down onto the planet method, the Shaltari use these Turquoise cruisers to stir up the planets field and generate massive storms and earthquakes in an isolated area, with the Shaltari's impressive tech managing to keep this occurrence centered on a small area.
Shaltari can definitely fight though. This class of ship has three burn through lasers that are supposedly more efficient and damaging then their UCM cousins. Considering how effective 2 weaker lasers proved to be, 3 stronger lasers could be very interesting.

Well my mahou shoujo rpg is progressing, the ruls for despair got a little tweak and are now finished. Next I will go through rules for powers to see that they're still ok.
I realized though that I'll need to make a character sheet, and am now trying to decide if I should just put together something in photoshop that'll probably pixelate nicely when printed, or if I should try to make it with openoffice writer's shape tools which are sadly lacking.

But yeah, his thematic crew's good. Hungering Derpness is super killy and one upgrade can keep reviving him. Lynch himself is pretty average but he has amazing card control shenanigans.

You slump across your desk, tired and otherwise drained from the experiences of your early afternoon. School will be getting out soon, and you are in a little bit of trouble for disappearing when you did, but thanks to the influx of emergency vehicles outside of the high school across the way your punishment is a scowl from your teacher at best.
Moaning quietly, you roll your face about on your desk behind the cover of a standing notebook. The lecture drones on ahead but you can’t quite concentrate. Your mind drifts back to your big sister and what happened not moments ago in the gymnasium of her school.
A monster attacked, possessed the student body and faculty to attack a few select individuals. When you went to drop your big sister’s lunch off, you didn’t see her but felt something off. Your friends confirmed it so when it was time the five of you went to save the day.
You faced the monster after a brave soul freed those it controlled, fought alongside expected and unexpected allies, and purified the monster to return it to the unwillingly transformed girl.
Your name is Koyomi Chiba, and you try to act like you don’t have a care in the world, and you are the fourth woman to carry the mantle of Sailor Moon! However your mind lingers on your sister who carried the title before you and how she cowered with her friends.

She is a good teacher and you normally really like her, most of the teachers in your Junior High are foreigners working abroad on teacher work programs because almost no one local wants to work here, she tends to be strict to your antics which haven’t been a problem aside from your recent business as the sailor guardian of love and justice.

The old core book is a good starting point. Things have changed since the 90s, but the 90s haven't.
If you want fiction there's a bundle of free stories and published books (Failed Anatomies?) which are more current in the lore but less of an overview.

Love me some cutthroat Neuroshima Hex and Carcassonne, got a ton of expansions for both, and I'd like to get expansions for many other games, but I wouldn't go as far as paying ridiculous amounts of cash for promos and such.

As far as new editions are concerned: The new Through the Ages edition is a real improvement over the old one. Basically it's a eurogame take on Civilization without a map.

Information: Daikon and his team accepted a mission to destroy a world called Echa, which produced technology that put them in economic competition with Lord Frieza. However, the technology the natives are equipped with has led to the entire team being badly injured.
Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place shortly after the war against the Tuffles, as the Saiyans look for more foes to battle in the absence of their old enemies.
Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.
Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)
During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.
If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).
If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.
If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution
You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

Though your team has been badly injured in the battle, you and Rugula remain standing, standing against the leader of the Echans that attacked you.

His power drops to 50 as he lands in a crouch, then immediately begins to rise.

Still, it keeps climbing as electricity dances along the suit, not stopping until it reaches 1600.

Hamp sips at his coffee.

You look around warily - you seem to be ascending a road cutting upwards through a steep hill; the rugged slopes rising near vertical on either side. The towering antenna mast that dominates the base's highest point looms overhead. “How'd you find me?” Considering you couldn't have found yourself five minutes ago, it's a good question.
“Well, I was just hitting up the CX for some pogey bait.” He pseudoshrugs to indicate the bag of beef jerky that's somehow glued to his side under one elbow. “Then I was gonna find you. And then you just come... walking right on past!”
You glance back down the hill, towards the distant realm of flat, paved and populated. “And you-”
“Like a sub-mah-reen,” he confirms with a nod before sucking a piece of beef jerky into his mouth. You never saw him draw it, and the bag is still glued to his side.

You are Siris Erickson, and you are a mutant. This is hardly surprising, considering both of your parents are mutants, and you grew up surrounded by mutants. Despite being somewhat of a late bloomer with your powers, the leaders of the Xavier Institute saw incredible potential in you and your abilities. With the ability to control the wavelength and frequency of light, as well as emit light from your body, you could theoretically do incredible things, although that is currently limited to a limited control over the light in the surrounding area and the ability to concentrate light into a laser. Both of which tend to give you painful headaches, and you can only do those with the help of a specially created suit. You were accepted into the Xavier Institute mid-year despite the late arrival of your powers, and you have been accepted into the Paragons squad.

You wake up, to the sounds of knocking at your door. You feel a bit sore, probably a side effect of sleeping with a text book as a pillow. Still, you get up with a sigh and lumber over to the door. Swinging it open, you see Rahne standing there. She smiles slightly while you rub the sleep from your eyes, “You’re going to be late for class, Siris,” she says, an amused smirk playing across her lips. You cringe, and apologize, but she shakes her head, “It’s alright, most students end up sleeping late on their first day too. It’s quite the shocking change. I still remember my first day of class...” she trails off, but soon returns from whatever thoughts preoccupied her. “You ready to go? Your first class is... martial arts with Wolverine... allow me to preemptively apologize. I assume you can get there? I have work I need to do.” You nod, and she goes off on her own, leaving you to find your way to the danger room by yourself.
Wandering in the general direction you remembered the sub basement being, you manage to make it there with a minimal amount of wrong turns. Still, when you finally make it to the Danger Room, Wolverine doesn’t look happy. The man gives a wolfish grin, “Well, I’m takin’ that as a volunteer. Whatever your name is, get down here.” He points towards you, and you feel only slightly reassured his claws aren’t out.
