My DH2 group haven't had combat in the last 3 sessions. They're working on their secret HQ and fake IDs as ordered by the Inquisitor.
However, the next session will start with the Sister being literally dropped into a pit thing's den by a group of over-zealous mutants who believe that she is Sister Sabbat.

I know we've had a lot of Paladin threads recently, but I'd like your help with a character /gents/.
What would you say are the indispensible powers, attributes and abilities for Paladins, regardless of setting?
I was trying to get a PL10 PC for Mutants and Masterminds 3e based on the DnD versionDue to its' rather fleshed out nature, but everythingskills, powers (especially powers) and abilitiesis just so dang expensive.
Especially including their Divine Senses on top of their rather large powerset.

I think it's more about attitude and conduct than powers, but the basic powerset would probably include stuff like:
>good all-round leadership abilities and charisma
>good all-round melee abilites
>some kind of "smite evil" skill
>some kind of healing skill
>a protective aura

It's mostly like the equivalent of the underworld in Wraith: The Oblivion. "Sins" are more "Debts" and influence the stay.
The skillful and hard-working, those who had a positive net value on their breed, are taken to Mauth's Bone Hall to perfect their trade, because Mauth hopes to replace as many gods as he can with capable humans should the Vaulted Gods fall. The slackers and the reliant spend an eternity supporting the ever-growing hall on their backs.

If a significant number of our men are supposedly Veterans of the Long War and our armour is supposed to consist of relics from long ago, how come virtually all of our men seem to use modified Aquila and Indomitus patterns? They weren't particularly common during the Heresy, having just entered production, and I'm fairly certain the Loyalists wouldn't supply us with new ones, so unless a vast majority of our armour is somehow stolen it seems unlikely we would use virtually identical equipment. Shouldn't there be more III, IV and V suits? And the Indomitus...

that's the answer. Chaos marines have no real manufacturing capabilities to speak of, so they have to steal and scavenge from the loyalists.

That is factually wrong. Warmachines of the Lost and the Damned makes it perfectly clear there are entire Hell Forges, not even just in the Eye of Terror, but outside of it too.
Also, why are there no beakies among the Traitor Legions? We know the Alpha Legion used Corvus Armour for a fact.
How do you typically describe magic?
I'm really not a fan of 'cheat codes to the universe', even if that is an apt description.
What other methods do you use to describe it? Energy? Warping? What?

As matter interacts with the Higgs field, conciousness interacts with the Magellen field.
Think Pullman's Dust meets original trilogy Force.
Personally I'm working on a setting where I need to answer this as well.
To keep a long story short; magic that humans can use comes from sleeping/medtiating giants. By living, sleeping, praying and meditating nearby these giants snippets of arcane information leaked into human minds. Using what little they gained; the people were able to forge magical spells and enchantments.
The question then is; what should this meditational energy shit actually BE? The math and knowledge of a universal scale? The delusional magical dreams of forgotten giant Gods? The languages...

I remember reading that supernal resistance turned out being a good choice, can someone give me the rundown of the build? (charms and the way the build fights).
So, any guesses on odds that Anathema for 3e will have a functional release before June? As far as I can tell it looks like the people working on the application have had their hands on a functional version of the ruleset since April and they've not posted a single update since September. I'm almost expecting it to end up vaporware with some other group beating them to having something functional put together and distributed.

It really didn't though, the colonies were just about to issue a declaration of independence and war but then the covenant showed up. The SPARTAN program was created specifically to put UNSC boots on colonist necks.
