This coming Monday I'm going to be playing a Paladin for the first time and I want to do it right.
Any hints or tips?
Play with a GM who's not going to punish you for every tiny deviation from your code... especially if you have players like Rogues in your party. Give yourself some goal of "greater good" that makes it acceptable to work with people of lesser morals. Don't be a preachy "no-fun-allowed" lawful-stupid who ruins the game for everyone else.
Kinda edge-lordy, but if you really wana work around the whole alignment thing, have you Paladin have celestial blood or come up with some other reason that involves their "holy" powers coming from a source other than faith...
Whether they're aware of it or not...Best paladin I ever played was a deluded over-zealous demon-hunting monster of a person who would commit atrocities that could qualify as war-crimes during his hunt of demons (torturing innocents for information, executions on the mere suspicion someone might be a vampire, carrying out punishment on those who collaborated with demons even when they did it unknowingly, ect). The leader of his order was secretly a necromancer who was using the holy order to take oout the competition or contain his "experiments" before they got out of hand. The paladins of the order themselves got their power from the blood of a celestial that this Necromancer had captured long ago and kept imprisoned. The paladins would be told to drink the blood in a ceremony similar to Communion with no idea what it actually was or that it was the source of their power. As far as most of them were concerned, their powers came from their "righteousness and faith", as warped as that view was. Not to say the character I was playing was intentionally evil... but yeah... serious delusions.

Be a bro. Be professional and respectful.
Take a level dip into Oracle if the DM will let you and take the Lore Mystery to get "Sidestep Secret". It lets you use your CHA instead of DEX for your AC dodge bonus and also adds it to your Reflex Save. This means with Divine Grace you get to add your DEX to Reflex twice.
How do you take advantage of your trade/job/profession during your campaigns?
Do you think that TTRPGs have helped you in your job somehow?
Being a computer engineer made me hate every system's interpretation of hacking.

Working at a hotel makes me portray Inn Keepers as depressed souless husks who all have a seething hatred of humanity while trying to fake a smile and make sarcastic comments about the party when they think the players won't catch on.
So yeah... there's that.

As a hotel security guard this is the truth.
Also we all know you're on drugs and bringing in a prostitute. We just don't care.
The land of Aeons, a beautiful land full of mystery, magic and adventure. A place were great heroes are at a constant battle with the forces of evil, great monsters and demons alike. Wizards and Clerics are common place, along with creatures such as ogres and dragons. A land where adventurers travel in search of wealth, fame and power.
Kings and queens, under the protection of these well payed and respected men and woman rule with absolute authority, bringing glory to their allies and death to their enemies. It is truly a wonderful and dangerous place, and to be a adventurer...

It's been a few months since your father had passed, leaving you in charge of the family farm. Of course, it's rather run down and the only animals you have is a single cow and a mule, Eustice. The only thing thats been growing has been onions and grass, and even that is barely enough to feed you. Though at the least you have a place to sleep at night without the threat of wolves or bandits.
The day itself was an average, the signs of the summer starting to show as the sun blazed overhead, so of course...

What TTRPG game, IN YOUR OPINION, does guns best and why?
What does it the worst and why?

>At the center of the Planescape multiverse is a city called "Sigil"
>Officially pronounced /ˈsJ gJl/, often erroneously pronounced /ˈsJ dʒəl/
>Planescape is formed of and shaped by the thoughts and beliefs of its inhabitants
>Enough people pronounce it wrong that a second city forms, called "Sigil" and pronounced /ˈsJ dʒəl/
>Everything else is the same

No it'd be renamed to "Sigil"

Anyone ever try to make a game with gunpla? Cause some friends and I wanna try.

Mobile frame Zero, while intended for lego mecha, works brilliantly with Gunpla.

After doing some more searching I found a system on Reddit called Build Fighters System. It's based on the Gundam Build Fighters series. I've been looking through it and it seems really cool.
>>43717508
What series are these models? The designs look fairly recent.
ok /tg/.
You find your self in present day Europe with the powers and gear of a high level warcraft type paladin.
What do you do?
>>43717411
Pull the obscenely heavy armour off of myself and leave it wherever I happened to be. Contact my family and get them to send me money for a plane ticket home, then go back to my old life. Just because I have magic powers and gear doesn't mean I have any skill or physical aptitude to do much with them.

What kind of Pally? Ret? Holy? Prot?
Also, I open Raid Finder and start LFG.
>The precursor race sacrificed themselves to bring magic into the world
>Magic is basically energy from precursor spirits and their technology
Interesting or cliche?
>>43717259
Sacrifice seems too cliche. Maybe some kind of accident or disaster caused them to be destroyed, and magic is them trying to reconstitute themselves. Hence why magic can fail or backfire.

>A precursor Alien Warlord sacrificed other alien races to bring magic into the world

So it's Dust?
Hi everybody I just made a small wood crate to carry my guardsmen around. I want label it's contents corpse rations but I dont know what else to write. So what do you all think? how should I write the label? what warnings should I include like do not feed to ratlings after midnight or poisonous in large quanties any ideas?
If it helps the crate is roughly 8inX12inX24in or 16cmX24cmX48cm. I guess I should include weight, number of rations, expiration date(how do I write Imperial dating?), etc...

Your legendary archer uses a thumb ring, right?
You're not seriously trying to say you have an amazing, legendary archer that doesn't use one. That's not very realistic, now is it?
>Realism
Why do people always assume this matters?
That ring looks tight as hell
>>43716735
No
He can't use a thumb ring cause he has no hands
What is the strangest thing that you have seen an ork do?
>>43716648
In a Rogue Trader game we fought an Ork Warboss who had a thing for fruit.
Like, he raided Agri-Worlds and stole all their fruit, then stored it in his asteroid mining station he conquered. He constantly drank fruit juice, ate meat covered in fruit, and even wore fruit dangling from ropes on his Meganob armor (and destroying the fruit threw him into 200% Pissed Off mode). He still did normal Ork shit, but all of his raids were either to get more fruit or to get more Boyz so he could THEN get more fruit.
Probably the most interesting Ork NPC we ever had to deal with.homemade Random Personality Traits tables are fucking awesome
>>43716648
Personally or in game? Because let me tell you, most games don't even hold a candle to the kind of shit real orks do.

When I play rpg's, when someone hits my characer or stabs them, I like to react appropriately. But for gmes like D&D and Dark Heresy, you can be stabbed or hurt without the pain affecting your actions much at all. Is there a game where the pain of being hurt affects your character much?
>>43716636
Yes, most games with a wounds system instead of an HP system.
>>43716636
Real life.
>>43716727
Yeah, getting stabbed tends to really take it out of me.
Hey guys, would Touhou work better as a Role Playing game, or more of a Skirmish/Board Game? Kind of like X Wing or something so you have to do shit like dodge or barrel roll out of the fire zones.
There is at least one 2hu rpg out there, called something danmaku something I believe. And by that I mean actually fan-translated, not just in moonrunes.

It's too big, here's a different one while I put it on mediafire.

With a bowl of the most sugary cereal I can find in hand, I walk over to the kitchen table and take a seat next to Irene, who is in the middle of messing around with her phone.
"Hm?" Irene looks up to glance at me. "You're eating -again-?"
"I'm not just being a glutton if that's what you're implying," I reply. "Theresa really wore me out and I'm going to pass out if I don't get something else in my stomach."
"Oh," she says, looking at my bowl. "I'm not sure if that's actually how it works, but go ahead."
Irene's attention seems to be somewhere else right now... even though she's tapping her phone's screen, it doesn't seem like she's actually paying attention to it.
