The most popular way to bring characters from different clans together is to have the players all be Emerald Magistrates. Either they already are Emerald Magistrates, or the become them at the start of the game.
And to answer my own question, I kinda want to see more stuff for ronin characters. Their schools are kinda meh compared to clan schools, which can easily be explained as "their schools don't have the centuries...

One thing that they should do is nail down their position on the Mantis clan and the minor clan alliance in the new canon. Did the Mantis absorb the other clans, or are they still a loose alliance? I personally prefer the first, but the second would also be fine, as long as they make up their mind and stick with it.
Also, if we could lose some of the recent weirdness with the shadowlands and the taint, that would be awesome.

What is your setting currently like? You can have noble warrior orcs, mongol orcs, shamanistic orcs, or just about anything any other race has with a slightly different flavor.

Personally I make Orcs pig-like which gives some easy traits to give them. They are smart, like to chill in mud or water to cool off, eat anything, love sex, etc.
Also give them some weird religious and cultural beliefs, they wear the skin of their best friends as armor after they die, that sort of thing.

How to roll dice: "dice+2d6" without the quotes in the email field rolls 2d6. "dice+5d42+23" rolls 5d42+23. "noko+dice+2d6" rolls 2d6 without showing the roll in the email field.

This, just ask her. If you don't and she dislikes it, she will think of you all as sexist pigs or something similar. If however you talk to her before the game, even if she dislikes it, you both can handle it in a normal manner. Same way as if someone would decline a anime-ish game or perhaps a grimdark one.

Greetings /tg/, I'm taking my party into a massive city-sized carnival and while I have a lot planned out (an ongoing tournament, bardic nonsense on a massive altar; pic related, and various side games) I would like to know eitherL
A.) What you as a player want to see or do at a carnival or festival in your games?

I need some help with PTU. I want the tabletop game to be closer to the game in that the trainer has little to do with puzzle solving, and almost nothing to do with combat. My issue is that a lot of skills in PTU involve physical trainer attacks toward Pokemon or trainers using weapons (ugh).
I would appreciate if somebody could:
A: Explain how I can play a game of PTU without this. I would just homebrew it out, but I've never done such a thing. It seems overwhelming and I know I would ruin the balance of the classes. I'm wondering if somebody has already altered the rules in this way.
B: Convince me that PTU is fine the way it is, and I should accept it. It's just the idea of trainers weakening Pokemon/other trainers with fists, rocks, throwing stars, etc is just so fucking weird to me.

If you don't want to take the option off the table completely, just tell your players that in (Insert Region You're Running in Here), if they go around beating the shit out of pokemon and trainers with sticks and stones and shit, sooner or later people are going to notice and they're going to get a reputation that amounts to being a gang of animal abusing fuckheads / aggravated assault-happy thugs, with all the delicate loving police attention that deserves.
If you want to take a heavier hand, just tell your players that trainers straight up aren't allowed to make (damaging) attacks in your campaign, so they probably shouldn't invest in any Trainer Combat classes (though that does take off like, half of the class roster)

I'd limit my player's Trainer levels to the first few, and disallow combat/mystic classes. This should largely remove their ability and incentive to participate in combat themselves, and also mean they'll have to rely on their Pokemon's skills for lack of their own.
