Most of the party's formative years were as victims of his crimes in the past. To destroy him and have revenge means erasing the foundation of who they are.

feels like the twist needs to be something that nobody is aware of but at the same time is way too obscure to figure out.
If someone figured it out then burying the guy in a tomb or something for a few hundred years should solve the problem.
too avoid this you would need to have one of his sins be something so infamous that the only way for it to be forgotten is to destroy entire civilisations and burn libraries to the ground and whatnot

That's fine, I guess, it was a consession to game balance. They wanted her and Jace to have cards in the set, and having two powerful planeswalkers being mono blue would probably be too much. It seems to me that Tamyio, if printed again will either be UG or simply Blue, assuming what Maro said was indeed the reason.

Haven't played WotG but I have played its spiritual successor Legends Of The Wulin
pretty great for wuxia/xianxia/old shaw bros bullshit plus it doesn't rely as much on weapons like Weapons of the Gods
The only downside to LOTW is poor layout in the book and a few poorly explained bits regarding lore sheets

So what is the "normal" point game in KoW ? I'm not talking about "well, depends on your local meta bla bla", I mean the equivalent of 40k's 1500 equivalent. How close to it is a starter box ?

Here in South Africa we mostly play 2000 points.
Starter box gives you about 500 points. The ogre starter box gives you about 1000 with lots of magics items thrown in.

The tournament scene is France is 1500 points, the starter box you have there is 640 points (without magic items)
Because the SU-76M really puts the "su" in suchka.

It's not a graviton beam emitter, but it appears to have that functionality over short range if I'm looking at this thing right, and I have another staff that I can merge this with to work nicely. As long as I'm not trying to shoot something in orbit, I imagine this would be incredibly useful.

Speaking of Rene, that's you! You're already quite wrapped in a heated battle as it is, the conclusion of which is destined to be your victory. A slender young man, chestnut-haired and bespectacled, stands at your side in a beat-up old temple, the two of you challenging this Bishop Lisa and one of her acolytes, a white-haired dark mage who your new ally has just finished stripping the life of with Verrine. The rest of your allies and theirs wage battle outside, bar Sara (babysitting her youngest brother from the outpost, since someone stole her ice stone).
"Ludwig," the old woman says, frowning, "you're a better person than this sort of violence..."
"And you're a better person than holding my mother hostage, what of it?" Ludwig responds.

You can see now, as he fights Bishop Lisa, that he was either being humble or he has far too low an opinion of his own strength. You've yet to inform him of anything but that you've come to his home's rescue on the Empire's behalf, and that's all he needed to know.
"Overconfident boy!" Lisa says, stepping forward and raising up a berserk staff, pointing it towards you. "Be struck down by your own savior and my newest weapon!"
You're unable to resist the staff, and things quickly become a blur for you.
When you come to again, Veiz is holding you back, Cicero dressing Ludwig's wounds as Lisa lies dead on the floor. Wounds dark magical in nature.
"Phew..." Ludwig shuts his eyes, looking away. "I nearly thought Lisa had made you kill me. You can count yourself lucky you've such reliable friends..."
"...it wasn't your fault, Rene," Veiz reassures you, "you've always had a certain... Weakness towards effect staves."
"Regardless, Bishop Lisa was eliminated and the young prince spared. A successful mission in all," Cicero adds.
"Young what now?" Ludwig asks.

Turn Aside should be pretty good though, it counters Dromoka's Command as long as they chose the fight option and any sort of 1 to 1 removal spell.
