It's sort of an ephemeral experience, being a snowflake craftspony. A lot of painstaking work in a year, and then when the time comes to display it all, it's mixed in with countless output from other ponies as well, and try as some may, it's more or less taken for granted for the season. The satisfaction of a job well done and the jubilance of earthbound ponies must be rewards of their own. Plus, that kind of practice can't help but translate into detail elsewhere, should they pursue it. Think any great pegasi sculptors also made snow?

Some time ago there was an event that lead to Equestria gaining thousands of new citizens within the day. The sheer amount of ponies that arrived overwhelmed the country as confusion and fear filled the cities that made up the great country. Eventually through the efforts of the Two Sisters as well as various charity groups the new ponies where gathered together and given different options to choose their own homes upon the borders of Equestria. A colony for Equestria with their own rules and leaders.
This is the tale of one of those colony’s.
The population of ponies your town had selected through lots to choose one of the tropical island chains that are on the south eastern corner of Equestria. The thought was that the weather would make things easier for settling into the area. What they were not expecting was the sheer heat and humidity.

Just one problem: no takers.
You wonder if you should even bother writing; you decide to quit and move on to something else.
If that story applies to you, then hold your horses. If all you wanted was feedback, to improve your writing skills a bit, or maybe just see how others do it, then you’ve come to the right place. There are a few rules, however:
>Posting the story directly in the thread is preferred over a link to Pastebin, FiMFiction, etc.
>One story at a time.
>Don’t be a dick or asshole when reading or critiquing.

There’s no one way to cure it, but, if you can’t write, you may as well read stories. There’s more to writing than writing; there’s reading too, and that helps. Check some of the links above.
Try the following (keep in mind this won’t work for everyone):
-Figure out when it’s the best time for you to write.
-Fap then write*.
-Write anyway, and allow yourself to write shitty stories. More often than not, the block is the fear of it being bad. That’s what editing is for.
-Seriously, drink coffee. It’s a writer’s best friend.
-Listen to music while writing.
*Unless you’re writing clop, then listen to your boner.
