You and the other two crystal golems are completely unaffected by the croak of the mythological machines. Everyone else, on other hoof, is. They shrivel up in pain and cover their ears as if the noise is a cacophony of misery and divine punishment. The other Pegasus ponies are so weak they lifelessly fall onto the cloud with no care for their safety or your presence. They do not react to you; they are barely able to groan in pain.

So her sister could have been the leader of the CMC instead of Applebloom. She's an absolute shit character and boring as hell, plus AJ, her sister, isn't even the leader of the mane six so this ruins the CMC as a paralell to the mane six. twilight having a younger sister who lead the CMC would be a perfect paralell (and great character) by contrast.
