I enlisted in the marines in 2010. My first 2 years I was a SAW gunner. After that my unit completely phased out the SAW for the m27. I hate the fucking thing. No more belt fed weapons organic to my squad. Expect IAR gunners to carry 22 magazines. Do you guys think the Marine Corps fucked up by phasing out the SAW?

Whats /k/'s opinion on pot smoking and firearm ownership? Personally I don't have any issue with smoking, I smoked a lot in my younger years and besides the fact that I became a lazy piece of shit while smoking, I was no worse for wear. As I've gotten older though, I feel like the federal legislation on pot is way to punishing for me to ever risk being in a situation where I had to explain why I had THC in my system when I shot a home invader or other worst case scenarios.

However I do have a problem with the people who tend to smoke pot.
I've known a good number (five, ten, plus the countless homeless people who've smoked pot that I knew) and I wouldn't want them fucking with firearms.

It is a dumb idea to get high and play with weapons. You can forget things. You're more mistake and accident prone. Even very smart people will have absent minded fuckups when stoned. This is okay if you're playing scrabble or shitposting on the internet. It is very bad if you're at the range or practicing knife throwing technique.
It is also a violation of the constitution to confiscate the weapons of people who happen to have pot in their homes. Everyone who's ever confiscated a firearm from a non-violent drug offender should be sent to prison for ten years.
My brother isnt really the violent type when he smokes, but he is pretty immature. He's the type of guy who thinks he knows everything because he looked it up on google, without any real basis to act pompous. Once he decides he knows the ins and outs of an issue, there isn't any other answer or point of view.
He is a single dad and has a lot to lose if shit really did go worst case scenario. The thought of him actively carrying and smoking is a terrible fucking idea to me

The wax isn't hot enough to set off the powder or primer.
Use a Double boiler the wax, heating the wax is the most dangerous process.

For those of you with SBR'd PS90s and suppressors, I need to ask if it's worth it? Not SBRing it, suppressing it.
Right now on Gunbroker, there's a G5-T for sale. As far as I know, it's the only suppressor on the market (along with the G5) that has a P90 specific quick mount. It's also disconnected.

How can submarines hide from something like THIS?? This is just civilian technology, odds are something better is out there. This is the TITANIC, isn't it? That composite scan represents almost 5 months of work in sonar passes and then processing. It's also active sonar, which has the same inverse square return threshold to signal detection ratio problem that radar has.

Rich asian guy did a 3-day tactical carbine course with a Nemo .300wm AR and a Taurus .454 revolver.

Size was good, its a glock is open to review for +/-. The trigger on my rangebuddies is horrible, advised he look into swapping parts but alas he wants it stock (with a trigger like a buttplug)
Unless you're a 6 year old, asian female or have only two stubby fingers you're not going to be satisfied with the grips you get on it. The trigger is worst than normal Glocks if that's even possible and the ergonomics is worst than its closes competitors:

Overall, its small but not amazingly small. It has the least capacity and the trigger is just marginally better than the stock Shield. An XDS would do you better IMHO. The stock trigger on the XDS blows both away.

So I responded to a recent mass shooting. I would prefer not to say which one, but when I was on scene there were ATF agents showing up. I was not only able to tell them by the grey dodge pickups recognized from the pic related incident, but they also stepped out and put on ATF jackets. My question is, what would the ATF be doing on a shooting like that where the shooter is no longer a threat? Firearms evidence collection or what?
