Aren't you worried you're going to shoot yourself, anon?
>>29176762
The 3 internal safeties are plenty, a hard kydex holster that covers the trigger guard makes for a rock solid 4th safety.

All of my Glocks are 1 in the chamber.
If I was worried about my gun spontaneously going off, I should throw it in the garbage and vote for Sanders.
It's not Feinstein, but an antigunner has died. I'm drinking tonight!

Have fun, freshman

RIP in pieces, just say no shit.
>The Reagans were anti-gun meme
Where do you clowns come up with this stuff?
Do I really need to get a gun safe or is it just a meme?
i dont fucking know, think for yourself faggot
>>29166375
Depends on the laws of where you live. Just don't leave guns lying around in the middle of your house or whatever if you don't plan on getting a safe.
>tfw that paranoia of leaving your guns when going to a trip outside the country for two weeks

That fucking sucks if true man but just get one off armslist when you move out
What do I need to get started with archery?
If I get the samick sage bow what all do I need? And what draw weight should I get?
>>29169069
You'll probably want some arrows and targets
and a finger tab, at least
Depending on how quick you learn, a bracer for your forearm - string slap sucks.
>>29169334
>string slap sucks
Christ, I can almost feel it.
Just having the top layer of skin shaved off in a fraction of a second.
>>29169355
It took me literally one time to permanently improve my stance and remember to turn my arm out. I never want to feel that again.
My sister on the other hand, gets string slapped repeatedly and never corrects anything...
I, personally, carry 3 mags (45rds) of Liberty Civil Defense and Ruger Arx Polycase.
LCD is 50gr +P fragmenting hollowpoint traveling at about 2000fps and works alot like RIP with better cycling and reliability,
And will also apparently defeat up to IIIA body armor :o
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr6h44Pu4sM
ARX is 85gr, traveling at about 1350-1400fps Polymer cased "finned" projectile designed to create "maximum hydraulic displacement" without being a hollowpoint.
Whats your choice in personal defense ammo, and why?
>3 mags
>mousegun bullet weight
>comparing terminal effectiveness to RIP rounds
>in year 7 of our HST
When you make terrible choices you go all out, dont you?
>>29169869
I bought two boxes of Liberty Civil Defense. One of them was full of poorly crimped bullets that wiggled around in their cases and were seated at completely inconsistent depths.
I haven't even tried shooting the "good" box, maybe when I have a beater pistol I'm not so attached to, or something I plan on selling. I'll stick to Hornady, Speer, etc.
>>29169896
Im just going to ignore everything else, and ask, why is more ammo, a terrible choice?
I have a perfectly good Glock 27 in FOTY cal. (dat problem solver doe)
Also have a fullsize beretta 92fs
Prefer to CC beretta (appendix carry) Because i dont trust my glock with one in the tube.
Generally dont trust safetyless pistols to CC.
Constantly feel i might blow my dick off on the draw or ventilate my femoral.
Anyone else feel this way?
I know practice makes perfect, but that retta makes me much more comfortable, even tho its gigantic in comparison. (much easier to see print)
Anybody else feel me on this?
I apologize for the upside down picture. Wtf.
also whats your guy's favorite defense ammo?
Get good solid holster that has good trigger cover.
Observe and be attentive when holstering so you dont retardedly holster some clothing in with the gun as well.
Practice practice practice.
Sure one can argue that having a manual safety is a good safety net of sorts, but if the trigger is depressed at all when resting in a holster or during drawing or re-holstering, something is terribly fucking wrong and a safety net only puts a band aid on that horribly wrong thing going on.
All that said. Go with whatever gun you're comfortable with anyways.
>>29169548
Solid fucking advice.
PREPPING GENERAL: get in here, prepped /k/omrades. Discuss everything from firearms to BOB's to food storage.
>b-but we live in the most peaceful time ever - nothing bad will ever happen to me
people with this mindset are setting themselves up for failure.

UK died a while ago. Your just on life support.
>>29160382
>UK died a while ago. Your just brain dead and on life support.
Fixed that for you
Why do /k/ hate SpringField XD. I own XD9 and XD45 and they are superior than Glock 19 and 21.
>>29168562
They're $300 guns that Springfield charges $550ish for.
You can literally get a better gun for less money.
>grip safety
>poor aftermarket
>Croatian
>mag prices
There is literally no advantage over a Glock or M&P.
>>29168586
>grip safety
Hurrrrr
>Poor aftermarket
Untrue
>Croation
You have no point
>mag prices
Not really any different than other options
You literally have no arguement and they are perfectly equal to muh glawk an m&p
>>29168562
They're decent guns, friend has one and it has never given any of us a single problem ever. That being said, don't pretend to act like it's a step above a glock.
Protip: it isn't.
so nerds riddle me this
>Get a lathe
>get a mill
>get a type 7 FFL/SOT
>make my own full auto machine gun for cheap
is this viable at all?
>>29167091
If you know how to use them then sure.
if by cheap you mean hundreds of thousands of dollars later sure
>>29167091
>lathe
>milling machine
>cheap
not to mention the time you have to spend learning how to use such machinery.
/k/, I just bought my first gun today.
Pic semi-related.
wat do?
throw it into the trash because you should have gotten an m&p
>>29166692
Yep.
>>29166692
This. Buying a new shit gun is infinetely worse than buying a good used gun. For fucks sake, there isn't even much of a price difference between that and an m&p
How effective would a Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device be in battle assuming it doesn't matter the surface, and it can teleport up to 100 meters? Would it be worth research and production, or would it be like the Davy Crockett, a cool idea on paper, but not so much in battle?
Put a portal on shield. Put a portal on another shield.
Profit

The Davy Crockett Nuclear Recoilless Rifle was the greatest invention of all time.
What does /k/ think of the Vz.58, especially for places that don't allow AKs?
They're pretty good rifles.
In before Ians video and a bunch of shitposting about how everyone should join the cult of Armalite model Fifteen.
>>29165196
I got mine with 5 mags and all the other shit for 499usd. It was a steal for how much fucking fun that rifle is.
It does heat up really fast though. I did a three gun with it and burned my hand because I was in a hurry and was stupid. It had only been 35 rounds. Still, my fault, not the rifles.
If you can get one with a few extra mags for less than 500 I'd say do it. Otherwise get an AR or an AK.
>>29165196
It's fun but don't expect it to be reliable in any real situations.
If somebody call to that number before you put it in the place to bombing, you're fucked, right?
