So in the days of the police revolver (and by extension I guess civilians buying revolvers for defense because "hey if they're good enough for cops they're good enough for me") did .38 Special have any serious alternatives (like 9mm has .40 S&W, .45 ACP and .357 SIG). I know .357 Magnum was used but it was considered just a powerup for the most part that was used for certain tasks and roles.

So I decided to try high stress - durability exercise, where I get only 5 hours of sleep per night and do everything else as normally (Train study, cold showers, etc), kind of like home version of military training.
For the last 2 days I've been getting small(ish) scabs on my face (3 scabs, 1 or 2 could be herpes).
I'm getting positive mental and emotional thoughts though, I feel as if I'm personally developing
My question is, should I discontinue the experiment, wait few more months...

So my GF went gun shopping with her dad. She knows jack shit about guns, but I didn't know if her dad knew anything.

it won't explode. it's a hi-point, it will just run. nothing fancy, i'm not sure how picky they are with ammo if it all, but it will just run.

The Germans simply had the first opportunity to refine this technique before WWII in the Spanish Civil War.

I have the lee anniversary kit and picked up a rcbs electronic powder measure. I use the Lyman manual. It pretty much has most of the stuff I need recipe wise.
Is it normal for your ears to ring even after you leave the range?
My ears always have a ring, range or no range.
It is not normal and I've been on a range with people shooting 50bmg all day. I do notice that the pitch of sound is "out of tune" when I listen to music on the way home after a long day of shooting.
