Thinking about getting an Arsenal Slr 104 in the next few months.
Any anons own them? Anything I should know before I buy? What's the future of 5.45 availability look like?

Surplus is banned, but commercial 5.45 is equal to or cheaper than 7.62x39. Academy also sells it in boxes of 30, which really satisfies my autism

I had an SLR107 (5.56) and it was a great rifle.
Quick look shows PPR (Price Per Round) for 5.56, 5.45 and x39 are all about the same right now on Ammoseek for the cheapest stuff.
Get it in the caliber you want. I got 5.56 because I wanted ammo commonality. If I weren't so picky I'd have got 5.45. I did hear after the fact the 107s can have FTE issues but that never happened to me. They also don't make 107s anymore, but that shouldn't matter too much: they use a lot of 104/74 parts.

No you have a SLR106 not a 107.
The SLR106 has been known to have feeding issues do to the straightness of 5.56x45mm

more of a support helicopter than a pure battle machine like the apache

honestly, the Tiger is pretty shit, like the Eurofighter, it's an utterly inferior scam program. If you want an Apache alternative, you got three real choices: the T-129 Mangusta if you actually just want a light scout, a Ka-50 if you want a high performance beast with limited avionics and sensors, or a Rooivalk if you want a good all-around attack helicopter.
Any archeryfags here? Looking to get my first bow and I want to start out with a longbow. I'm debating between 30lb draw weight and 35lb draw weight. How much of a difference does 5lb make in one's ability to draw, hold, and accurately shoot a bow?

you should go somewhere and try out different weights. but you'd probably be better getting something around 30 pounds. just go buy a samick sage.
Go to the store and try drawing some of them. If it's easy to draw don't buy it. Buy something that makes your arms shake. Then you practice and your muscles grow up to the bow.
Otherwise you will be back in the store in a week to upgrade your limbs. I started with a 35lb sammick sage and went up to 45 lbs in a month.

A samick sage would be a better first bow, you can easily get lighter/heavier limbs and you should be able to sell it fairly easily if you don't like archery.

But willing to take recommendations held my first AK today and it was very nice almost bought it the purpose is to have something in semiauto that hits harder than 223 and is not going to break the bank for ammo (no 300 blk) for accuracy I want around 2moa but better = gooder

I am curious on how you store your mags besides just throwing them all into a box and finding them when you need them. I have a good verity and am thinking of picking up more ammo cans for keeping hand gun sorted from rifle.
