How does /k/ long term store their ammo caches for SHTF situations?
Like storing things buried in the ground in locations you aren't going to check for several decades.
It's likely not as simple as putting things in an ammo can and burying them right?

I can hold the rifle perfectly still and any movement of the head at all puts the crosshairs over a different spot.

Bump, and too clarify, I get better groups with a $90 wal-mart red dot than I've been able to get with this 4x scope. That makes no sense to me. I see people with this set up all the time and they seem to like it?
I emailed vortex and their response was basically, "Buy scope rings from us to try out. Most people don't have an issue with the height."
So are most people just happy with 5+ moa at the range or am I just really missing something?

Probably wouldn't be too hard to go full plate. At the least center mass+head are gonna be pretty much safe from anything smaller than .338 Lapua, since you know they'll have more than an inch worth of the stuff on.

How reliable are PPKs? Pretty much every 380 I've ever fired was a jam-o-matic piece of shit, but I've never really fucked with Walthers.

Sig p232 master race here never had a single FTE or FTF. The CZ-83 is a great all steel .380 as well as the Colt Mustang. The CZ-83 is a bit too bulky for pocket carry though but hands down the most accurate .380 I have ever owned. But, I carry the sig p232 for EDC

Why is the US still using a century-old machine gun in frontline use? Aren't there better or more modernized .50 cal weapons that could sync with apps or be improved with tactical accessories?

They've tried on more than one occasion to replace it, but what's been fielded has not been as reliable for durable.
Generally the aim is the get a lighter weapon, but since it's only fielded on vehicles or from fixed positions, it's generally not that big of a deal to save 20-30 pounds on it since someone doesn't have to carry it.
That being said, it still sucks ass to ruck with one.
