Except for the visible spotlights and mirror LEDs. How does /o/ spot police vehicles in their city?
Vancouver, BC
>All police vehicles have insurance renewed on Feb.28 which is spotted on the license plate.
>Most unmarked PVs will have Police Interceptor badge on the tail.
>Smart enough to know the head/tail lights in the dark.
BONUS
>Delta highway patrol uses a completely unmarked Ford Explorer with longitudinally running roof racks...

You can't in my area. Can't even use the headlight thing because they use all different kinds of cars. From Minivans to Corvettes
>>29556707
The only time they bring out the random unmarked cars like minivans and shitty sedans are when there are public events or big holidays like Halloween or Canada Day. What city are you in?
>>29556696
For what purpose do police need to hide the fact they are police? Anybody can stick a bunch of strobes in their windshield and try pulling people over. I don't pull over for unmarked vehicles. I call 9-1-1 to verify first.
A reversed engineered Uzi, made by Ulster Loyalist's.
Pretty cool.
I thought they got weapons from the British (not officially ofc)? Did they have to make their own or could they buy stuff from abroad, like the IRA did?
>>29556671
The get some of the brits and they did buy weapons from a guy in Canada and alot from Lebanon and other places.
But buying illegal weapons can be dangerous and sourcing them difficult, so manufacturing them was a safer option for the most part.
The "Avenger" SMG.
Just wondering where you guys buy ammo. LGS, Walmart, Cabelas?
Pic related is a newer store in town. Ammo prices are literally retarded. Always have a full stock of everything. How the fuck do these stores get away with this shit. No one buys this overpriced dogshit around here. Maybe waiting for a panic?
I usually go to Walmart, cheap as shit. And LGS are taxin' up the ass as well. Time to stock up before shitty election. What's the best places besides online to shop
I've bought most my recent factory ammo at my local Doit Best hardware. Not the greatest prices, but the guy behind the counter is cool and he's even ordered in special snowflake shit for me.
The warehouse he gets it from charges $25 flat rate. So if he can get a big enough order in its not to bad.
Other than that online. Whoever has the best deal.
Walmart, Ace hardware, gunbroker or a number of other sites. Cheapest per round wins.
>>29556644
The last ammo I bought was from Walmart. I got the last can of XM855 they had. They got a can of XM193 soon after which sold quickly. I haven't seen any since. Even the local Milsurp-R-Us doesn't have anything.
Why can the Mk. 46 not take STANAG mags?
You'd think special forces, more so than anyone else, would appreciate the ability to use allies' ammo in a pinch.
>>29556421
I'm no operator, but I've been a SAW Gunner before. Using magazines never worked well with any of the guns I was issued (and I never had problems aside from that). I've heard a few different reasons why, but I don't think it's a feature that really adds much to the usefulness of the weapon.
>>29556421
>Insert STANAG mag into lmg
>lmg is now a glorified, overweight rifle
Don't they have the same size as old battleships?
I would build them smaller, fully automated with only 8 crew members. Could be like tanks 1 captain, 1 to pilot, 1 to fire weapons.
>I would build
Then do it
Build a mock up and take it to a military convention.
Otherwise no one cares.
You are a man, act like one.
>>29556412
they're the same size as light cruisers.
they need to be big cause range.
you need 3x the crew to operate 24/7 whicg means that your 8 man boat would need 24 men.
and what you described suddenly becomes an mtb, which arent new at all
Anybody know how many 'conflicts' are happening and where? Ignoring the clusterfuck that's the middle east, is there any major fighting anywhere else?

Whats /k/'s thoughts on the Ariete?
>>29556077
it's alriete
Looks like a challenger 1 with down syndrome
>>29556077
In terms of design and performance, the C1 Ariete is very close to the South-Korean K1A1.
Thoughts on this, /k/?

Awesome movie. I was in fucking tears at the "Final charge".

Like most russian movies it's shit, last good russian movie I've seen was, I think, "Burnt by the Sun".
"9..." is about same tier like... IDK... Polish "Demons of War" (If you looking for a "good" slav movie, chceck out "Pigs")
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigs_%281992_film%29
And what's about with Ruskies with that rape'ish vibe in most of their films?
Lepa sela lepo gore or Come and see, those are good movies.

Anyone had experience with alternative springs for the AR buffer? Any word on them? Not seeing a lot online and excuses to hear first hand stuff from /k/ never gets old to me. I'm wondering are they worth getting?
If I have a .300 blackout suppressed, more so or less so worth it?
Pic related.
>>29555877
Forgot to mention: that's a JP enterprises captured silent spring.
https://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPSCS2-15
I love my JP
I hate the scraping spring sound and that's about the only reason I bought one
That said, it's supposed to help with recoil, bolt bounce, and a myriad of other things, but it's not why I bought mine
>>29555877
>If I have a .300 blackout suppressed
Interesting thing about them is that you can change out the rings for tungsten ones
You could find a balance that still functions when unsuppressed, but reduces recoil when it is

Why is it that AR rifles feel so dull to shoot? They aren't bad, they work well( at least mine do), but they feel to me to shoot the same way a Honda Civic feels to drive... like a lifeless appliance. Maybe that's the reason why like the Civic, both can be riced out, but even then fail to be as fun as say, an AK. Not bait.
I have no idea what your are talking about. Do you equate felt recoil with fun?
I hate when a firearm has manageable recoil
>>29555697
its you not the car/gun thats a boring person. getting a more powerful toy wont increase your enjoyment
Hello /k/!
A while time ago, I saw a post including scientific facts why female are not suitable for military service.
Also, females in military thread, post your greentexts.
>>29555522
I'd be fine with females in the military if they had to pass the same standards as men do. Then only a few out of 100 would make it and they'd be hard bitches who actually wanted it.
>>29555540
the problem is that this isn't how it works, especially in peacetime
after you let it happen with same standards they will see the gargantuan injury rate and abysmal pass rate and force you to change the standards to make it more equal
this is what's happening to the bong military
>>29555560
That's why I said I would be fine with it IF they had to pass the same standards. All you have to do is go check out the physical requirements for the different branches online, and you see women basically get a free pass into the military if they want.
Is there a place for paratroopers on a modern day battlefield? Have they become obsolete due to the prevalence of helicopters?
Also, paratrooper general thread.

Helicopters can't take and hold ground.
>>29555495
Men in helicopters can.
"Those who survive combat or war, are those who, in a bid for survival, did things that made them lose their minds. They were forced into situations where they committed an act so vile or saw things that made them stare into reality so nakedly, that their entire preconceived notions of the universe, god, destiny, justice or whatever, were completely shattered. PTSD and suicides are only a few of the victims. They act quite normally, but the others keep things deep down inside of them where they rarely see the light of day. These are things they think about when they tuck...

Good for you. thanks for not answering my question.
Oh and its a free country buddy, I think thats one of the reasons real men grab rifles, unlike you who grabbed it because your only option after highschool was to suck cock or clean toilets at Del Taco.
