What's the most deadly arm of the military, in terms of number of casualties inflicted? I read that during WWII the biggest killer was artillery, and that it was responsible for more deaths than any other unit type. Is this still true for modern wars? Or is air superiority and bombing more deadly?

So, I recently came into the ownership of this lovely Winchester Model 1897 Takedown Shotgun, and I have a couple of questions for the fine folk of /k/
1. Will this gun handle normal shotgun loads?
2. Should I reblue the barrel or leave it as is?

I ate some mre's while innawoods this week and was wondering if I should keep them. I got them from a friend a while ago and somestuff inside says it expired in 08
While they're probably fine, I've personally never seen either of those two, which means the military has stopped handing them out. Those things can last forever though.
Just use common sense, if you open anything and it smells/tastes bad, stop eating it.

i have 45 acres of land i have owned for the past couple years. there is a ~15 acre field that is a set back from the road in the woods. there is a path vehicles can get to it through the woods. it has been a long time party spot since past owners did nothing to stop the degenerates. i've busted up a couple high school kid parties. things seem to be getting worse. people are dumping trash rutting up the formerly picturesque field. it is extremely frustrating to say the least. so before i lose my shit and end up shooting someone, i need your help.

It depends on your state laws. In New Hampshire you can put up big POSTED signs on the trees warning that trespassers will be shot and then you're legally in the clear.

9mm is .357 caliber, while 32acp is .32 caliber. they ARE NOT interchangeable.
So don't buy 9mm.
It shoots .32 acp.
So just buy that instead of the 9mm in your picture.

No, the pressures are very different and the calibers are also different. 9mm is equivalent to a .38 caliber neck casing while .32 ACP goes close to an 8mm neck casing. Not to mention that the 2mm extra in 9mm won't fit in your magazines. Unless you want a mangles hand and shrapnel, keep it .32 ACP

Torn between quick dot sighting or long range glass myself
I've used my 2moa PRO on an AR-15 out to 500yds, it worked great. If you set the brightness to a very faint setting, it's easy to aim very precisely.
I also have a T2, which has an even crisper dot, though I've only taken it out to 300yds.
Magnification is overrated; it's useful, but people use it unnecessarily. Especially when "parallax free" sights have a tremendous advantage.

To clarify I don't use a magnifier on the dots. Aimpoints are amazing general purpose sights.
