The US military refuses to adapt its air-launched cruise missiles to an anti-ship role because the idea frightens Admirals since ships can be attacked well beyond a Carrier Strike Group defensive perimeter.

Why isn't DARPA pursuing this design instead of stupid humanoid shit?

Humanoids robots perform like this.
A humanoid design with fucking servos yields no performance benefit
>but humans are more efficient at walking
Humans aren't fucking robots

People like backflips. If WotW tripods did backflips like the robot in the video, the common man would be more accepting as they patrolled the community. Not to mention, robots would be better used in high-crime, urban environs.

Thinking about ninjas.
How much money would it take to turn SOF into ninjas?

Specifically the fictional interpretation of ninjas.
Like the old guy in the link
www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU5k5eKxgK8

How many decades of R&D would it take to complete deny an enemy of its senses and its ability to protect itself, the same way a fictional ninja could?

The point of attack from the Albanian side was a land invasion of Kosovo and the cutting off of the communications of the Yugoslav Army between the forces in Prizren and Djakovica. Another goal was the taking of the region of Metohija. After days of heavy fighting, the Yugoslav Army kept the KLA from advancing into Kosovo. KLA insurgents managed to take the Košare outpost following a massive artillery barrage by the Albanian Army and NATO bombardardment of strategic sites held by the Yugoslavs, but were not able to break the Yugoslav Army's second line of defense. It was the first battle in the Kosovo War in which the Yugoslav Forces had significant losses.

The way i see it i'll be paying almost half what i'm paying right now for my apartment while still making my Cali wage (12/hr) , i'll stop getting fucked in taxes, and i'll be able to own all the guns i want + shall issue CC. Only thing is the heat and not being able to lane split on my Baiku. Over all seems like a sweet deal but i'd like to hear from some Nevada anons

I'm looking at southern Oregon myself. Getting the fuck out of CA has become a priority.

Oregon was another option for me as well, but our location is in the middle of bumfuck nowhere there, as oppose to in Vegas where i'm 20min from the strip. Cali is great in theory but living here is killing me, i cannot save money for the life of me between paying 1000$ a month for a fucking studio and getting fucked in the ass for 10% of my income in taxes.

What's the worst ally the U.S. has ever had?

>Officials were reacting to a New York Times report Sunday that U.S. military commanders looked the other way when Afghan allies tortured and abused young boys, as well as girls — sometimes on American bases — and punished several American service members who spoke out about the problem.

The issue was also raised Tuesday by retired Gen. David Petraeus, who was testifying on Capitol Hill about the U.S. mission in the Middle East.

Petraeus, who was the commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan in 2010 and 2011, said it as “absolutely reprehensible, unacceptable behavior" and there was no policy on the matter when he was there.

“It certainly was not something that was acceptable or even discussed, frankly, when I was commander of the International Security Assistance Force” in Afghanistan, Petraeus said.

“There is no way that that kind of behavior would be seen as helping to serve the Afghan people, and it is absolutely unacceptable,” Petraeus said.

Some lawmakers on Capitol Hill are pressuring the Pentagon to outline a more explicit policy on the issue.

A Florida congressman demanded the Pentagon make clear its opposition to child sexual abuse and offer some protection for troops who tried to stop the heinous crime while serving in Afghanistan. Rep. Vern Buchanan, R-Fla., called the revelations in the Times report disgraceful and disturbing.

What do you guys think of scout rifles? I think the idea is outdated but I actually like it. Do you have a favorite ( Steyr's, Ruger's, etc. ) of the ones currently on the market?

Ruger claims their scout rifle is the one to own if you could only own one rifle. I just think Scout rifles are neat in general.

Mossberg makes one for like $500 with a threaded barrel and plenty of rails.

It can also accept both AR-10 and M1A style mags, which is neat. Just a little annoying that the rail above the action basically prohibits the use of loading via clips, but it's not really a big deal.
>>
>>29549389
Closer to $600 on buds, actually.
>>
>>29549389
I've heard of it but haven't really heard any good or bad about it. Every time I try to Google or YouTube reviews on it I mostly get reviews featuring the MVP Patrol and not the MVP Scout. With that having been said it seems like the cheapest option out there and you can buy it alone or in a bundle with a \crossfire II scout scope.\

It also seems to be close to the criteria set by Cooper...
