Except in very bad terrain and indoors, a very small tankette can do what infantry can do in a lot of environments.
IEDs won't hit them as hard as they would trucks, and its not a conventional war either. Why not just patrol the desert in thousands on one man, air conditioned, machine gun carrying mini-vehicles, instead of infantry?

Maintenance and lack of protection.
>>30585980
So tankette spam?
>>30585980
Because in the 30's every country decided tankettes aren't worth it.
What are some decent folding BUIS?
Thinking about pic related.
Talk me out of it.
Troy.
Pros:
>Very solid construction
>Metal means no worries of the front sight warping with use.
>Very nice, clicky, adjustments.
Cons:
>They hire baby killers.

Magpul
Cheap, accurate, durable. Just don't mount the front one on a gas block.
>>30585984
Can't mount mbus on a gas block, but the mbus pros are all metal.
I want to get my first battle rifle. Lets discuss. .308 is a commonly available cartridge. Would getting something in 7.62x54r be a mistake? The ammo seams cheap but not many modern firearms are chambered in 7.62x54r. So a .308 must be the ideal choice especially since its my first rifle.
It seams like my most modern options are the m1a or basically an FAL variant.
54r is cheeeeap compared to 308. Even if you buy a box at a time like a huge fag most serious big box stores will carry it. There's a solid two square yards of shelf space devoted to nuggetfood at Sportsman's Warehouse near me.

It would be cool if they made something similar to this in .308.
These are some leaked images
Are you trolling? Or just stupid? That's a custom SKS
There's already a thread for this. Check the catalog.

What does your stockpile of mags look like, /k/?
What do you recommend people stock up on and why?
Lancer for metal lip? Steel because it's beefy? Gen 2 PMAGs because they are ubiquitous? Any reason to choose a color other than black?
a couple PMAGs i don't use cause my lower doesn't like them, 10 aluminum GI mags, and 2 10 rounds LAR pistol mags, because canada.
ATF pls go
>>30585454
its arbitrary but i think 10 magazines per each regularly used semi auto rifle and pistol is good. its a nice even number and you have enough to use, replace, store away, sell, or whatever.
what to stock up on? usually its OEM magazines, or whatever works best. a shitty unreliable magazine is about half a step above no magazine at all.
as far as ar15 magazines go, im partial to pmags. theyve always worked consistently well for me, theyre affordable and easy to find.
lancers are good as well as plain old...

I live like 5 miles away from Offutt afb. Wtf are fully wet f-18s doing in the middle of the country is shit kicking off?
Hello /k/. I really like guns and want to shoot as a hobby, however, since I live in [REDACTED], where gun laws are very strict and simply unreasonable, I can’t. As such, I decided to build my own.
Now, since this is just for hobby shooting and not self-defense, and ammunition or even gunpowder is very hard to find in [REDACTED] without extensive paper work, so I am going to make a musket.
The blast caps will be make from safety matches, a mixture that I already know and can rely on, in a cup made from aluminium cans. The gunpowder will be acquired from fireworks...

Can you own air rifles? Those are better than nothing.
>>30584595
>remove misfires and failed rounds?
A long corkscrew could be used.
Wrap the barrel in wire, the wire doesn't matter you could use clothes hangers but this will allow the pipe to hold up to greater pressures.
>>30584680
Air rifles are much easier to get here in [REDACTED], yes. I am thinking about buying one as well, looking for good prices and all.
But I wanted something with more punch. A real gun.
As promised I scanned the book "SOLDATENBUCH" from 1958 which was handed over to soldiers in the Swiss army in order to prepare them for a possible invasion.
Here you can see the various tactics, doctrines and what each soldier was expected to do or how to behave in case of an invasion of Switzerland. It also speaks about the duties of civilians in these situations.
There's also a part showing each different corps of the Swiss army along with songs, prayers and other patriotic stuff.

What are your thoughts /k/. I missed the whole ar500 is shit threads. And rumors are that the russians are trying to switch over to boron carbide for their armor.

I recently learned there are bigbore air guns capable of taking down deer and bear, do you have any experience with those OP?
>>30584194

those are the most expensive PCP tier anon, with the money you spend on em you can buy several shotguns if not a dozen and it's a bit of exaggeration I'd say. I'm more of a spring break barrell guy myself
