What are your thoughts on russian mi 28 and ka 52?
any other russian choppers welcome too
>>30576135
The nose cones make them look like cartoon mice.
>>30576135
The Mi-28 feels like any other attack heli, just a bit larger and with a much better gun.
The Ka-52 is really cool.
>>30576253
Doesn't the 52 have a limited range of motion on the gun pod? Something weird like 5 degrees in any direction.

At least you're not me where it's a constant, anxious loop of
>I should sell my ak74 and 5.45 stuff because I don't shoot it and I'm low on AR and 5.56 stuff
>no I should wait until full Hillary and sell it then, and be low on money/AR shit in the meantime

poorfag spotted. How can you be so poor you can't even miss $1000?
>>30575901
Don't sell your funs bro
I've never had an instance where I didn't regret selling a good fun
The money can't be that tight.
Hi /k/
Aus here. Currently in the united states on holiday and I would like to shoot some guns. What's the best way going about doing this?
I'm both US and Aus citizen, if that makes any difference.
If you're a U.S. Citizen you can buy guns, my man. If not, just go to a range that rents guns. Or find a willing /k/ommando that will let you shoot their guns in exchange for your boipucci.
>>30575798
>look for ranges online
>rent gun
>fire away

US is pretty big. Where exactly are you? Makes a difference mate.
I'm a flinch bitch. I can't stop flinching and it's driving me nuts. I dryfire practice for an hour each night, I hit the range every week and shoot 150 rounds, but I can never fix my flinch. When I dryfire everything is perfect, I can do penny drills all day, etc..., but as soon as there's a live round in the chamber, it takes me 20 seconds to pull the trigger, my hands start shaking, and I always either drop the muzzle or push the muzzle up because I'm a faggot bitch. I mean I'm the type of dude who jumps 3 feet when I see Tyrone on the street...

>>30575759
One reason you might be flinching is realizing that you're pulling the firearm to the right. Don't rest it on the nook of your finger between each segment; rest it on the direct print of your triggerfinger.
Take a few breaths and think about happy shit, then pull the trigger, Piglet.
>>30575759
No traps allowed
Also you might be getting target panic
Shoot a gun with smaller rounds
Pull the trigger slowly as possible

Region wide protests planned for the Hampton Roads area. Stupid me, I'm with friends at a fucking comedy club.
So, any local /k/ommandos getting locked and loaded in case shit goes tits-up?
They won't have weapons and I live in a rural nobody town in East Texas. I literally have nothing to worry about. Leftists avoid this place like wildfire and the terrain is very hilly so good luck staying fat doing those marches over here.
Although I don't have any friends.
Also it's like 100 degrees.
And the air smells shitty.
But I remind myself I'm really better off here.
>>30575635
Up in fredricksburg area so if you need a safe house I've got a place for you.
OP here. Made it home, avoided the roads listed do I didn't see anything. Following the news. Doesnt look like anything should be close to me, but still have a rifle ready.
Anyone else in the area? Got your eyes on anything
Which determines the strenght of recoil in one pistol? For instance I know complex factor like its the caliber and size and weight of the gun, but lets take 9x19 for example how much can I reduce it's recqoil by replacing a stock component in the pistol,?
bunG
>>30575624
partly due to the individual characteristics of the caliber and the cartridge load
Aside from recoil/mainsprings,bullshit handloads and good form, nothing outside of weight or a gas system is going to help.
You can play with perceived recoil and lower muzzle flip or use special buffers, but it depends in your goal

I put that Rifle Accuracy Facts book up on Archive.org if anyone is interested in it. I am not the original anon who scanned it and put it up. Anyways, I figured this would be of interest to gunsmiths and competitive shooters and I hate the fact that book is nearly unavailable in any format.
I have not even read it yet because I've been so busy dealing with homework. Anyways, enjoy this book.
Also, how do I change the collection the book is located in?

Well credit to him, I'm just uploading it to make it easier to find.
I grabbed it when you first uploaded it.
Thank you again for your efforts. I've only started perusing it but it's been interesting so far.
Which is the gun with smallest to none recoil /k/?

Because mommy logic.

Hey /k/, I saw a Yugoslavian Mauser that looked really nice on Armslist and he wants 350 dollars for it. Since I paid around 200 for my M24 Mauser, I dont mind the 350 dollar price tag hes asking for. HOWEVER, what is the usual average for these old tack drivers?
>>30573859
going rate for 24/47 and m48s is $300
rusty ones are 180

Who would win?
The entire British naval fleet from the 1700s
Or the boat in pic related with experienced crew and 2 Browning M2s??

How much ammo are we talking for those M2s

Is this a joke? Drop some chain-shot in the cannon and one broadside shreds that carbon-fiber fagamaran
/k/ what is it like to get shot? what is the feeling comparable to? every time i see someone getting shot, they don't move as much. is it because it hurts to move or is it that they just can't move?
>>30572019
If you get shot in the chest would imagine your lungs would be temporarily or fully collapsed, so now your body needs extra oxygen but gets very little.
Bags of sand
>>30572019
It feels like extreme heat at the place of impact for a few moments, and as you start to lose blood it feels like creeping cold that starts spreading.

What are some good websites for purchasing components?
I'm new to reloading, just got my first press a few months ago.
Any recommendations?

Grafs and Sons, they charge a flat $7.95 to process your order. Also Try Brunos shooters supply. Many places out there to buy bullets from. With the elections coming up make sure you have enough on hand. The may get scarce if SHTF

Thanks, my thoughts exactly, /k/omrade
why has electrical ignition not taken off comercially?
out of the modern inventions in design, (caseless, helical/p90 mags, post-burst recoil, etc)
it seems the simplest to introduce
two goddamn a4 batteries, ou could even house them in a conventional bolt for the benefit of interchangability
imagine a rifle that had two bolts, one with a spring and another with a battery
you could fire electrically ignited rounds of the same dimensions or regular rounds; bypassing the commercial issue of proprietry cartriges
perhaps you could even fire...

a lot of autocannons are already electrically-fired.
pic is the voere vec-91
it uses caseless ammo AND electrical ignition
most of the benefits are lost with a bolt action, where ejection and ROF arn't issues
but imagine a P90 with caseless ammo, and electrical ignition
no shells to eject, no ejection system
>>30569960
indeed, and I think that is largely due to interchangeability not being nearly so much of factor
if you only have one weapon chambered in a caliber, it doesn't really matter if it's conventional or not from a logistic point of view
benefits in weight reduction are exponencial as the size of the round increases, which Ithink is a big factor driving the trend
not to mention their direct compatibility with computer systems, just plug a wire into them and fire them from behind cover
I...

AR Thread / AR General /arg/
Mall Ninja Edition
Old thread >>30580768
Wow I'm one of the first posters in a new thread.
Talked to someone I know whose husband build ARs occasionally and he might be able to get wholesale prices on some parts. That would be sweeeeeet. Crossing my fingers.
>>30586488
First build, excited but waiting on my trigger.
What's the most versatile caliber I can have a second upper for? I'm considering .300 Blackout, 6.5 Grendel, and 6.8 Special for an alternative deer rifle.
I just found out PA has a cheaper 1-8x edition
The question is if it would be worth it over the 1-6x

Good luck anon
