Is the 300 savage round slowly dying out? I have a savage model 99 and I enjoy shooting it but I am noticing that it is becoming harder and harder to find. Is there going to be a point when this round is impossible to find?
The reason I want to keep this gun is because my grandfather owned it and hunted deer and even killed a black bear with it once. It is important to me. I would like to maintain it and keep it working for as long as possible.

They're already dead. Sure, you can still find plenty of ~$25 boxes of Core Lokt and Powershok around, but those boxes have probably been sitting around in that store a few years already. Handload if you want to keep using it.

I have a tactical assault gear combat sustainment pack. If you don't mind atacs or ucp, you can get it for $60 on their website
it's a good size for 12 hour stuff. But for the love of god do not attach that shit to your plate carrier. Removing your pc to access shit is retarded and you will not be able to reach back there and grab stuff.

SP101. The GP is way to big and heavy for concealed carry. But it is a great gun.

I am building a high end .308 AR build and I am stuck on what optic to get. I feel like a ACOG would really limit the range of the rifle so I am debating buying a Zeiss HD5 5-25x50 Rapid-Z 800.

It can damage certain plastics and rubbers, for example those in a Remington 1100.
It also doesn't do much as a protectant after the fact.
Does clean well though.
I've only seen people freak out at people using it as a lubricant, not so much as a cleaner.
So I may be moving to Utah soon and I was wondering how the gun culture is. It appears the laws are pretty decent, do you think that may change in the near future? It's even worse. I have Mormon relatives I used to have to visit when I was younger. Them, their neighbors, and every kooky fuck at their tabernacle was a spaced-out creepy shit.
