> What's this thread about?
As usual this thread is for the discussion and pics of tracked and wheeled AFVs of all kinds from MBTs to supertanks to self propelled AA guns. Please keep it civil and cite sources for statistics.
The German love affair with the humble half-track can be traced all the way from 1917, when Benz had patented the first German medium semi-tracked tractor. As the German Army continued to refit and rearm through the 1930s, half-track designs...

OP: As always, feedback, suggestions wanted and appreciated.
I thought I’d start the new wave of threads with something a little more light hearted, and perhaps a little less content heavy, after the grim deluge of posts that assailed you in the weeks beforehand. For those of you that missed the previous thread, I ended up posting it in the middle of the week due to my timetable being all jumbled up, so I do apologise for that. Please note that threads will still be posted at the usual time at the start of the weekend or a little bit before. Actually, in relation to the WWI megathreads, what did you guys think? I know one person suggested it was perhaps more appropriate for /his/, and certainly, it deviated from tanks quite a bit, so I’m wondering what the overall consensus was.
As far as the Kettenkrad goes, there were apparently two submodels, the SdKfz 2/1, which mounted a small backpack spool in the infantry pattern, and the SdKfz 2/2 had two spools that were much larger and located behind the driver on a frame. In the late war, stretched HK 102 suspensions were used to create the “Springer” demolitions vehicles, but only around 50 were ever produced by NSU. In addition, Kettenkrads had an enormous amount of variation due to the plethora of trailer designs that were proliferated along with their production, such as specialised cable drum mounting device sporting trailers and modified standard infantry carts.
I’m fairly lost as to what to do next at this point, as I want to leave a bit of a gap before I get onto the other tanks of WWI. Any suggestions?

More tank news, as per the new format.
If you have more queries regarding a news story, just point it out, and I’ll further elaborate and provide links.
Iran has unveiled a new tank. The Tiam appears to be an eclectic fusion of Chinese and US equipment, as well as obvious Russian influences. The hull seems to be derived from a US M47M (an M47 with an M60A1 engine), and the turret housing a 105 mm is similar to a Type 59/69 of Chinese origin. On the same day, refurbished Chieftains (Shirs) and T-62s...

Bumpin a little because I like these threads
It's a Friday night, and we all deserve something juicy, so let's talk black projects.
Between the OBL Stealth-hawk, the RQ-170, and the 2014 sightings in Amarillo and Wichita, we know that over the past decade there have been AT LEAST 4 systems operating to various extents under that veil of secrecy.
So what capabilities does the USAF have? What exotic assets might they have hiding out at Tonopah or Groom Lake? Might we ever see any of them?
Let's try to keep this discussion focused on REAL aircraft, so let's admit that the Aurora was...

Ha ha right out of gate. You truly revel in their hate, don't you?
Why are older "gun people" such absolute turds?
I'm 25 (look even younger) and I HATE having to interact with gun store workers. I have yet to talk to a single one who didn't talk to me like I was a fucking child who doesn't know a single thing about guns. I shit you not, one time I asked the guy to grab me a box of .40 from behind the counter and he told me I was "probably looking for nine."
There's a pretty fair amount of (older) gun enthusiasts at my work and it's the same shit.
What gives, oldfags?

You look like a child and behave like one too.
>>29619356
Probably. 18-22 year olds have that "I'm an adult now, don't treat me like a kid! Oh, by the way I'm right about everything and everyone else is a moron," attitude, even though all of them act like little fucking children.
I was the same when I was that age, most everybody is. Nobody realizes just how childish and stupid they were until a decade later....if they ever do at all.
You've been given unlimited authority and budget to equip an army and remove the tree niggers from Pandora. How do?

>KAC
Why? Like how is it better? I'm going to be shooting irons for a while and the GG&G seemed like a comfortable sight. What does the KAC have over it?
>>29617193
it gives you the ability to shoot with the precision of a marine at 60000m

the KAC looks really neat.
How do i find somebody to take me to the range /k/, or find a /pol/ /k/ bf?
>>29615256
I found a /k/ boyfriend, they stopped talking with me after a couple of weeks of great bonding, after nights of Skype sex sessions we would spend the night talking. Soul crushing losing someone like that. First time I felt like I connected with someone in years. Probably busy starving themselves and getting aids off Grindr while I inch closer too suicide.
