Quick /k/, post your favourite camo
Bonus points for explaining why you like it
Honestly I really, really like the SADF nutria brown. It's simple, it looks nice, and it blends in surprisingly well in the velds of South Africa.
I like tropentarn
it's not quite so overused as flecktarn but it's still got a neat pattern. seems to work okay in the right places.
Hungarian woodland.
The perfect blend of browns and greens. It's the sexiest take on woodland imho. Short of SS Partizan
Can anyone help me identify these specific pants? I know they're from 1988, I'm trying to find surplus or repros.

Does /k/ have any songs or types of music that's really sets the mood for a range day? Mine is pic related.

I will be hunting Elk in Wyoming this year. Tell me what caliber I should use and why it is the best.
.45acp
.45-70
.308 or 30-06 with 180-grain bonded bullets. Because they're affordable and won't kick the shit out of you and they'll get the job done. Shit, I'd use my 25-06 on a big bull elk out to maybe 150 yards with no hesitation at all, after seeing what 120-grain Speer Grand Slams do to things. Pic related.

Boy that's a great image, I don't know what it means but its good.

Also why is Pueblo on that map? Makes me smirk thinking about some crime boss going out to the boonies for god knows what.
Threw this together and wanted to know if y'all thought it worth printing off
Idk but I'm saving that soooo.....bump

Fuckin love It m8
I think it's be worth it!
What's wrong with the PPQ? It seems like a great pistol, but the market doesn't agree.
>>29577986
It's a functionally fine pistol, but I personally think it looks weird as hell. Am I alone?
same thing that's wrong with the m9a1.
these gun companies don't know how to advertise like block
>>29577986
It's probably the fact it's made by Walther. Doesn't have that same appeal as hk, glock, colt, or other makers.
I have one. It's nifty.
Hi /k/

Can't fault ya for buying a gun. Congrats broski.

You need to learn how to take better pictures if you want to show something off over the internet.
>>29578048
Lemme try something... How's this?
What is the .300 Win mag for? It is an excellent elk and moose cartridge, but a 7mm-08 loaded with a good bullet will also kill elk and moose with about half the recoil. Any of the 6.5 mm magnums will have better long-range performance. Perhaps it is useful for stopping a charging bear, but then again, perhaps a 375 H&H would be better.
>>29577975
its for shooting...
that shoulder looks like you dont know how to handle a rifle.
>>29577975
300 Win Mag is a 30-06 with a flatter trajectory making 1000yrd shooting somewhat easier. If you aren't shooting A LOT past 500yrds, then just use a normal caliber.
OP you sound like a fag. i shoot 40mm DU sabots from the shoulder without a muzzle brake or stock.
Hey there, /k/omrades. I've been wanting to get into some sort of line of work involving firearms for a long time. I tried the military (disqualified due to medical reasons), police (no positions available whatsoever), and every LGS and range in my area, but all to no avail.
I was thinking about how it might be possible to start my own business making guns. I know that my grandfather did it, though I think he bought kits and put them together.
Here's the thing. I literaly have no idea how I would go about starting such an endeavor, other than knowing...

wait so you want a business putting kits together?
>>29577704
Have you tried the ATF?
>>29577762
Well, not exactly sure. That's what good ol grandpappy did. I might want to go about learning how to machine shit, if I'm able.
Anyone into KRISS here?
>>29577594
When gen 2 comes out, yes
Maybe.
>>29577594
Seems this thing is mostly used by Special Forces because of it's compact feature.
Post muzzle devices for just about any gun. I want to learn about some, and hopefully find rare parts that are a good steal for my AR-15 build.
>>29577542
Get a 20" barrel and you "It ain't me" adventure will soon begin.
Do you have a woods/mountain gun, /k/? What is it?
Pic related, Glock 29 in a Kenai chest rig

My paratrooper SKS, i've got a tapco 20 rounder in it for good measure. I still have to original mag if I ever want to switch back.

90% of the fun is building your own AR to suit you rather than buying one off the shelf. All of the parts are readily available online and Youtube has hundreds of instructional videos showing how to build it. That's what I did, and I ended up spending just under $800. I bought my 7:1 upper from PSA's dent and ding section on their website. Cost me $299. I also finished my 80% lower myself, but a 100% one will only set you back less than $100.
>>29577467
Ooops. I meant $600 all totaled.
