I keep hearing it's preferrable to usr them in semi only, then I hear 5.56x45mm is burst-fire oriented.

Semi auto for everything, full auto for emergencies only.
I was issued a semi / 3rd burst M4 with no full auto.
It's like they don't trust Army with full autos.

Semi-auto for EVERYTHING except charging enemy positions. Official Finnish Defence Force doctrine. So if you're expecting to fight an enemy at a hugging distance, you're better off with full-auto with bayonet attached.
Do note though that a charge is not the same thing as an assault or an attack. A charge is a continous movement into enemy positions from a distance less than 50 metres, during which you continue running until you reach your destination. Essentially a bayonet charge.

For just shooting the basic model 200 works well.
Ok so I've recently been playing through the assassins creed series again and it's gotten me thinking about the hidden blade concept.
How would something like that work and would it be plausible to build it into something small enough to strap to your wrist.
How would it fair as a weapon, it would need to be built of something tough but lightweight.

Okay...deployment issues aside since they're solved by a bit of dedicated brainpower, how do you put it away without stabbing yourself?
