Monsters under the bed/in the closet/faking everywhere were the name of my existence and I barely fucking slept.

Regardless, it only got worse as I got older until the age of eleven, when two things happened.

I saw a commercial for a survival horror game (don't remember which) and I watched it, confused.
I asked myself why those people weren't afraid of the things attacking them.
And then I realized that they killed a bunch of them with guns.
And so I thought "damn, guns must be really useful for defending yourself against scary things"
And so I started asking about getting a gun or something.

It didn't work but I had a nerf gun I kept in tow with me usually whenever I went around the house.

Later on that year a cousin and I were discussing guns and he asked me if I wanted to see how to disassemble an AR-15.
I said yeas and when I found out how simple they were I became completely enthralled with firearms and how they worked and how to use them.

So I asked to go shooting and about a year later I go my chance at a church shoot/meet thing.

I've gotten over my fears over the years but guns have stuck with me.
I may not have to have them but I'll be damned if a gun in your hand doesn't reassure one when there's a bump in the night.

Horses don't charge into solid masses of infantry at all. A cavalry charge only works once the formation has been broken up or are losely spaced, any solid formation will stop a cavalry charge, even if you don't have a pike.

In most of history cavalry was mainly used to cut down a routing army, in for example the 800-1100 most fights were done by infantry, and once a shield wall broke you'd send in the cavalry, to ride down the retreating enemy.

When the kind of cavalry charge you see in movies actually happened, like charging the enemy straight into the front without prior disruption of the formation it almost always ended terribly and wasn't intentional. Some examples:

Agincourt, They only charged the english because they thought they could ride down the archers, but mud slowed them down and they got fucked, also note that most knights on both sides fought on foot.

Waterloo, Scots grey guard got fucked, and didn't even mean to charge head on, but tried to cut down a column, the french cavalry charge was only made because they thought the english was routing.

Once the front broke and men started running cavalry were devastating. They could easily kill huge numbers and keep the foes retreating, preventing them from regrouping.

You're going to need a fairly large holster to tote that because of the weight and thickness. It will conceal under a jacket, but doubt it will hide under any summer clothing unless you wear a linen sportcoat everywhere. Great pistol, though. You should get it even if you don't CCW. They eat +P like candy.

Fan-fucking-tastic pistols. If you're OK with the weight (about 27oz unloaded), DA/SA and a slide-mounted safety you should love it. They have great triggers and are very easy to shoot. Also they're retard-reliable.
