Revolvers are not mechanically more reliable than semi autos of a similar quality.

However most semi auto malfunctions are a result of crap ammo, crap magazines, or user error i.e. limp wristing.
None of those will cause a revolver to jam.

TCCC is geared towards "wait for real medics" too. The first thing the course drills into your head is "you are not a doctor". The course is great, but your goal is always to hand off a stablized patent to a professional.

We were taught a lot of keep it simple stupid and did life drills which were made high stress and with curveballs, but were conceptually simple. If you are doing most of your learning from books rather than a live course with supervision, you need to focus even more on the basics. It's not sexy, but the basics are the foundation.

Do occlusive seals anywhere on the torso, high & tight tourniquets for limbs, finger banged gauze + ACE into groin and armpits. Keep it simple. You aren't going to be doing surgery on these people.

Do the basics, do them well. Pack extras of basic shit so when you fumble the first attempt you've got more.

Keep your first aid kit organized and with the basics for immediate life threatening injuries. Pack a second aid kit with all your bullshit pills, creams, and boo boo items to get it out of the way.

for head trauma, the glasgow system can be used to diagnose. treating said diagnosis is beyond my knowledge. it is somewhat intuitive

should take a first aid class, or maybe a lifeguard class

Oh, god damn. If you're just wanting an AR, then get an Anderson or Aero Precision lower. If you're wanting to resell to gucci level people, then get whatever the highest cost billet piece of metal there is. People will pay top dollar for that shit in a panic. Hell, they'll pay $400 for an anderson lower that costs $39 today.

The way they were talking about it it didn't sound like it was a new doctrine or tactic, neither did it sound like a digital or cyber weapon, nor didn't seem like anything to do with modern predator drones (well known about at the time). It sounded like an actual physical weapon.

It was probably footage of the "Berenstein" Bears books that you're thinking of. The weapon was an interdimensional transportation device that moved the free world out of our original dimension and into this current one. Presumably, the middle easterners were positioned to win the war or a nuclear country was launching a strike that would've ensured destruction. Unfortunately, this dimension wasn't entirely identicle. Little changes like the berenstain bears to large changes like the liberal overtaking of US/Europe. They decided and immediate violent death was worse than a slow assimilation of liberal/muslim culture. Frankly I disagree with that choice.
