Are Tom Clancy books/films/games the pinnacle of /k/? Or just one end of the spectrum?
>>29891911
This thread pops up somewhat often. His older work is better, and his newer work is garbage. The Division and Siege are shit games that only sold because of his name.
They are definitely on "the spectrum."
>>29891934
I was really referring to OG Splinter Cell, and the book games. I enjoy Division but Siege, despite being a good game is in no way a good Rainbow 6. So yeah, old school spirit of the franchise I mean
>>29891937
I saw this coming, haha.
Here is the Milsurp section of my firearms. how does it look so far, any suggestions? I was thinking of perhaps collecting different countries mausers or all 6 model webleys.
The enfield and Webley are both Irish free state issue to fight the IRA, and the Webley mk 6 is from Gallipoli, so that's cool.
Anyhow, post Milsurp with some neato back stories and let's rate some collections.
>>29891782
Get an M1, M1903 and/or M1903A3 or an M1917. But from what you got so far 9/10 -1 cus shitty SKS
>>29891782
No milsurp collection is complete without a mosin or a 1903 springfield
>>29891782
Fuck im retarded. I didn't see the mosin at the top
>>29891877
This says it will fit a PTR 91, but will t do so without me making modifications? Will it have the shelf installed?
http://www.keepshooting.com/g3-steel-trigger-group.html
>>29891737
It doesn't appear to be clipped and pinned, which will not work in a PTR as is. I think it's easier just to buy one that's already had it done, it's usually cheaper to buy them like that.
>>29891737
this is semi only right?
>>29893774
This is a full auto lower, however it will only work in a semi-auto rifle after being clipped and pinned.
Why is the 30-06 Springfield still ridiculously popular? It's been over a hundred years yet the cartridge sells almost as well as the 308 Win.
At best the 30 06 is an extremely long cartridge that delivers substantially less energy than the Magnum calibers. A long bolt is required to fire a 30 06. For its size, the 3006 seems pretty inefficient.
When will the old 06 lose its popularity?
Prolly when the servicemen who trained with M1 Garands do.
>>29891651
You know how many nazis have been killed with 30-06? Pretty sure that shit is immortal now.
>>29891651
Because everyone and their: brother, father, son, mother, dog, etc. has an old .30-06 that's been passed down to them by their: brother, father, son, mother, dog, etc.
/k/ what if the soviets attacked in 1945 in otocber against the us in the south, and who would win?
Comparing everything here doctrines, equipment, training, and logistics.

Is there any significant difference if your country (USA) is hit by 5.000 or 25.000 strategic nuclear warheads? What was the point of stockpiling?

Unless you want KY lube or Syrian flags, you're SOL.
Because you're so cucked and probably retarded.
Because you removed your wall.
Just bought 1,000 rounds in case things heat up after Hilary/Trump is elected.
Anyone else taking precautions?
You should always buy ammo and encourage others to buy weapons regardless. Until gun grabbing financial elite cease to exist, the threat of future control efforts will continue to exist.
Never yield.
No more than I usually do.
>>29891292
>Anyone else taking precautions?
Oh look, another """"""""""""""prepper"""""""""""" who thinks 1,000 rounds is a lot.
fuck off poorfag

Apparently, if you live in the 5 western town of Suffolk County (which I live) and you have a security system in your home, you now have to pay $50/year to register for a permit for said security system.
And why is this weapons related you ask? Because in the form they REQUIRE that you notify them of any firearms in the household.
Don't decide to register? FINES INCOMING!...

>must pay fucking permit to protect yourself Non-lethally
>also MUST tell us if armed, in detail.
Jesus Jew York. Just build pontoons around the island and float back to fucking europe if you're so afraid of Americans having rights.
Not in Suffolk, but Jesus I hate it here. At least I'm upstate and not subject to all of the trash city laws.
>>29891242
Jesus Christ, just demo your bridges and declare yourselves a People's Republic already. NYC and Long Island are full blown AIDS.

Hey guys. So if I was a journalist or something similiar traveling to pakistan or some shitty part of mexico to do a story about some rebels or cartel, what's the best way to dress and act to blend in? Do journalists go "undercover" when necessary or do they try to "show off" (wearing a vest/helmet with "press" written on it) to get some sort of immunity or whatever? I guess it's different depending on where you are, I hear the mexican cartel favors kidnapping american journalists.
I mean, if you're trying to be all sneaky...

Journalists, especially the younger ones, tend to have an arrogant mindset about events, as if they were somehow removed from what ever is going on.
And if they get caught, beheaded or whatever, that's even more ratings for whatever media source they're representing.
By having local contacts
Regardless you stick out like a sore thumb
>protip: acting sneaky (difference between sneaky and keeping your head down) is a top way for people to think you are a spy, thus kidnap, torture and *possibly* death.
You don't.
You have a fuckload of money to pay handlers/fixers/bribes/etc.
How many knives do you carry /k/? I usually carry one 3 inch for EDC tasks and one 4-6 inch for defense.
>>29890762
would not carry
>>29890809
It's the prototype, probably went through a bunch of testing bruh
>>29890762
usually 2 - one fixed blade (typically 3 inch) and one folder (for not scaring the sheeple), plus a small, 2'' slipjoint "just in case"
Is she still a thing?
No, thank god.
She was a cool gun chick then she tried to be a whore getting clicks from good looks. It failed because she isn't terribly good looking desu.
>>29890835
All she needs to do is strip down to her panties, get a high powered rifle, and shoot prone. Guaranteed one million views.
What the flying fuck are we looking at here?
>>29890365
Now, im no expert but, I think, now i may be wrong on this but i think, its a object known as a firearm.
