Here is the Milsurp section of my firearms. how does it look so far, any suggestions? I was thinking of perhaps collecting different countries mausers or all 6 model webleys.
The enfield and Webley are both Irish free state issue to fight the IRA, and the Webley mk 6 is from Gallipoli, so that's cool.

It doesn't appear to be clipped and pinned, which will not work in a PTR as is. I think it's easier just to buy one that's already had it done, it's usually cheaper to buy them like that.

Why is the 30-06 Springfield still ridiculously popular? It's been over a hundred years yet the cartridge sells almost as well as the 308 Win.
At best the 30 06 is an extremely long cartridge that delivers substantially less energy than the Magnum calibers. A long bolt is required to fire a 30 06. For its size, the 3006 seems pretty inefficient.
When will the old 06 lose its popularity?
Prolly when the servicemen who trained with M1 Garands do.

Apparently, if you live in the 5 western town of Suffolk County (which I live) and you have a security system in your home, you now have to pay $50/year to register for a permit for said security system.
And why is this weapons related you ask? Because in the form they REQUIRE that you notify them of any firearms in the household.

I don't currently have a security system in my home but when I get an apartment next year I was planning on it.
I do live behind a church (that my father runs) and he has a security system there. I'm hoping he doesn't have to report stuff in the house because it's on the same property.

Hey guys. So if I was a journalist or something similiar traveling to pakistan or some shitty part of mexico to do a story about some rebels or cartel, what's the best way to dress and act to blend in? Do journalists go "undercover" when necessary or do they try to "show off" (wearing a vest/helmet with "press" written on it) to get some sort of immunity or whatever? I guess it's different depending on where you are, I hear the mexican cartel favors kidnapping american journalists.

Journalists, especially the younger ones, tend to have an arrogant mindset about events, as if they were somehow removed from what ever is going on.
