Hey /k/ommandos,
I am planning on buying a AR15 this summer. I am planning on spending around a $1000. I would build it from a parts kit but I dont have the tools, time or space to do so.
Suggestions?

The aftermarket triggers allow the slide action to fully cock the striker in the glock?
what's a good value rifle i gan get in Australia, i was thinking Lee-Enfield SMLE
>>30100282
A poor SMLE will be cheap.
A good condition SMLE won't be.
303 commerical ammo is terribly expensive and inaccurate and the only way to go for 303 is to handload.
Get something in 223 or 308, Mossberg MVP, Tikka T3, Remington 700, Howa 1500 etc.
any new insanely overpriced meme gun made in this shit hole my friend
>>30100350
Extremely small production runs in a country with high wages are expensive, who would have guessed?
Get a Howa. Made in Japan, dirt cheap lately and a lot of places will do deals with a cheapo scope, bag etc.
Post ITT if you're drinking and fingerfucking your funs.
Why not just ask for an ATF thread.
You ever try 50/50 vodka and soda?

How the fuck do they even revert to "I DUNDU NUFFIN" when the evidence is right fucking there for all to see? This is literally how a fucking 5 year old tries to weasel his way out of facing consequences, and the man is nearly 30.

So I see that the main options for suppressor bodies are carbon steel, stainless steel, and titanium.
Other than weight, what are the differences between these materials on suppressors? Weight is of no importance to me; all I care about is which will reduce the most amount of noise.
Is it worth it to shell out extra shekels for certain materials?
Does the metal type of baffles reduce/increase sound as well?
chrome moly will withstand more abuse than the other 2 and i find it to have a lower tone
Things you care about for the material is primarily maximum operating temperature and wear resistance. For most purposes, erosion wear resistance can be approximated by hardness. Ideally, you want a Stellite first baffle at least, and titanium for the rest of the baffles and body. Stainless gets 'sensitized' and loses its 'stainless' property when exposed to 500C. You start to effect the properties of titanium by exposures of 1000C (ie; the fucker is glowing orange), but you start to get oxidization and alpha case formation at probably 700C. Aluminum (7000...

Hey guys. Want a bayonet for my 20" A2 style AR but don't really want to spend $60ish bucks on a real one. How much hate would I get for this?
>or does anyone know of good deals on real bayonets?
/k/'s gonna hate no matter what you do.
Have you tried your army surplus store? I can find pretty good deals there.
>>30099482
There's not one that I know of around here.
>my cetme with bayonet
>>30099454
Just get the Ontario.
It's pricey, sure, but it's better than cheaping out and having your "bayonet shaped object" break if you try and poke something with it and having to replace it.
>Buy once, cry once
Look around though, too.
It's Memorial Day weekend, someone has to have a sale going on.
Hey /k/, I'm on a tight budget and I want to buy a gun, but it's got to be at most $200. Do you guys no any websites I could get my hands on something for that price. Quality wise, it doesn't have to be amazing but it can't be shit tier.

This is the only really decent new gun anywhere near that price point. Sorry about that.
Just save up another few hundred dollars Tyrone

Is this the best $1,000 "combat" handgun on the market currently?
What are the pros? Cons?
It's taken me about six months to save the money so I don't want to end up with a piece of junk.

There's nothing wrong with desiring a handgun that'll stand up to the demands of the battlefield, even if it'll never see one.

Anyone else miss great war documentaries like this? Just the style, the footage, the narration, everything is great and not the bullshit we have today.
I'm rewatching the whole series now and man it is good.
>>30098769
There's only so much stock footage.
Books are better.
>>30098879
Books are better, yes. But not comparable. I can't put a book on in the background for some comfy listening/watching.
>>30098879
And there's actually way more stock footage than you'd think.
