Hello /k/ I need your advice today. I'm shipping off to basic training soon and, unfortunately, I won't be able to take my guns with me. After basic I don't really feel like dealing with the headache of storing them in the armory. I'm going to store them at my parents place. My parents are not big gun people and probably wouldn't maintain them even if I asked. What is the best way to store a firearm for several years sans maintenance?

/k/ I'm looking for a .22 pistol to plink with. I'm short on cash and want to make it a bit cheaper to shoot.
I'm looking at pic related as an option. Bud's guns has them for 130$ and with an FFL transfer that's around $160 which is about the cheapest option. I've also looked at the Buckmarks, Ruger Sr22, Beretta u22 Neos, and others. I could save up and buy something like the ruger but it will be a while before I can get it and I'm still looking at about $330 for that.
Halp me /k/. Should I buy the cheap wheel gun or save up...

sr22 slide is made of cheap aluminum, and the steel slide lock over time eats away at thr slide and it stops working.
literally had to throw mine away. get a wheel gun instead imo
