How many /k/ommandos have their guns illegally?
If you do, what laws are you breaking with what and where?
I'm curious to see because I might be going to Germany for school soon from Florida, but I still want my guns.

Today raise a toast on honor of those who sacrificed ask they had in service to their country. Whether they were citizens of the United States or of our allies. They were asked to make the sacrifice and did so and as such deserve not just thanks but out respect.

Comment still stands, x1000
Can someone PLEASE explain to me why there aren't more modern made .44 mag, .357 mag, and .38 special semi autos out there on the market?
I can't see why gun manufacturers wouldn't immediately jump on the opportunity to make more semi auto magnums, considering the fact that they pack an insane amount of punch for self defense and would more than likely dominate the handgun hunter market.
Hypothetically, I'd kill to buy a Glock chambered in .44 mag.
So what's the hold up? Can polymer frames not handle the power? Too small of a demographic...

>Too small of a demographic for people who'd actually buy them?
This right here. It would mostly just be handgun hunters and collectors that would buy them. For more practical use, .45 and 9mm are all you need.
It's considerably harder to make rimmed, straight walled cartridges run well in a semiauto.
Cartridges like .357 sig, 10mm, and 50 AE all run better. No rim lock and they don't need the case mouth to line up perfectly with the chamber to feed.
If you want a .44 mag it's better to use a revolver. Also, hunters take LONG shots with handguns, so revolvers/bolt actions/break actions will always dominate in the hunting pistol arena due to their mechanical accuracy.
>wasting the time and money to make a straight rimmed cartridge shooting auto loader that nobody bought the first time they made em.
What's the difference between say a S&W MP15 and an army issued M4 besides the ability to fire in full auto?
Is the quality better or worse?
>>30111787
Generally the same aside from a couple mechanical differences to prevent full-auto conversion. Similar quality. A Colt or FN is literally the same fucking rifle without a third hole for auto. At least, to my knowledge.
S&W M&P15 specifically, however, worse. Those are well known as being kind of shitty in comparison.
>>30111849
So if I want a similar civilian rifle to the M4 I should go for colt or FN?
>>30111880
My buddy was an infantry grunt. He was issued an M4 with a Knight's Armament lower and a BCM upper. Don't believe the fuddlore that only Colt and FN have been the only suppliers of M4's.
Serious question
How much more would a catobar cost if they originally went with it, and how much savings from buying the C variant over the B would make up?
Uh, the F-35C is the most expensive variant
https://www.f35.com/about/fast-facts/cost
>>30111773
I think they were quoted over 2billion, due to EMALs still being way behind schedule and not ready.
The official line is
"So much it would mean we could have only bought one ship"
With steam catapults comes a larger power requirement, a more costly power generator and more staff need to maintain such a system.
There are no savings to be made by purchasing the F-35C either. A carrier wing of 36 F-35Bs will end up being 3.7 billion vs 4.1 billion for 36 F-35Cs.
Say Russia's heads say "screw the military industrial complex", and invested the entire military budget into assassins.
Each assassin is invested in a billion dollars worth of tech, training, etc.
The premise is if US aligned military assets invade Russia, these assassins will kill US aligned oligarchs, senators, presidents, etc (appropriate to scale) within in the US.
Or would the billion dollars be better served just to bribe senators to lay off Russia, like the Israelis or Saudis do?
>Or would the billion dollars be better served just to bribe senators to lay off Russia, like the Israelis or Saudis do?
juvenile fantasy or something that's done in the real world, i dunno

How could one make swords viable again in modern warfare?
Could there be added some form of technology that could make the sharp piece of metal more useful than guns?
If they could be used to deflect bullets like in my mongolian cartoons that would be something.
guns > swords
stop watching faggy anime, faggot.
>>30111579
Attach them to the barrel of your gun.
>>30111607
What he said. Also, you ain't gonna do shit with that 20 bucks piece of junk. Blades are still useful as fuck, you can't eat with your fuckin' rifle nor can you use it to slice through something in your way or some shit, and as last resort, you'll be damn happy to have something to cut a fucker up with. But it isn't the thing now, it's like bitching about muzzleloaders not being a thing in the military a now. Both can change, sure, if we hit some sort of appocalypse and ammo runs dry...

I'm going to be studying in Berlin for 5 weeks and was wondering if there was any /k/ related stuff to check out. I know I probably won't get to go shooting, but museums and other bits of history are always fun. Any recommendations?

Considering their cost and that they're intended to replace Poland's Mi-24s do you think they're getting their money's worth?
>>30110751
Yes, the Apache is far better at shooting shit (far better optics, better cockpit design, IHADSS and all that, plus it can carry far more and far better guided missiles than the Hind) and all they're 'losing' is a largely useless troop carrying capacity. I'd say they're getting their money's worth.

Hi, I'm moving from Hobart (Australia) to Los Angeles in about a month and I already have work lined up and have decent savings.
I'm really concerned with safety due to the crime in the USA and the African Americans. What recommendations do you have for someone who is looking for a first time gun buyer?
I'll be taking my wife and my son with me.
>get to move to America
>LA
What the fuck is wrong with you? I mean I guess beggars can't be choosers, but still I hope you've got a plan move somewhere better after a time.
>>30110664
Go to Calguns, they'll hook you up, you're pretty much fucked, LA sucks big ass balls , and crime is going up, 10rounds is maximum, and it's a felony to have a gun loaded where a minor can reach it, also you can't have your gun easily accessible in a moving vehicle (felony) also you cannot drive within 1000 feet of a school , hospital or government owned building (felony) also don't ever let a relative borrow your gun (felony) also, rifles can't have pistol grips, (felony) also no heat...
