Looking to buy my first fun, a Fin M39.
I don't know much about guns, especially older ones. Would it be prudent to buy two in case one breaks for whatever reason. Or are they going to be neigh indestructible and easily last a few generations.
>>30106331
Most people would say to get a smaller caliber to start so you dont develop bad habits like flinching
>first gun
Ruger 10/22

Thank you both for completely ignoring my question.

How would you compare Russia's invasion of Afghanistan to America's war in Vietnam?
They lasted roughly the same amount of time, how were experiences similar or different?

>How would you compare Russia's invasion of Afghanistan to America's war in Vietnam?
Compare number of lost helicopter
>>30105706
They were similar in the fact that both rebel/Guerrilla forces had access to places that the enemy for various reasons, couldnt send in military units (North Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos and Pakistan respectively).
>>30105730
92 rounds for the main gun, why?
>>30105618
so it can wipe out almost all of a russian tank regiment
>>30105618
Because space.

To kill more communist rats and capitalist pigs
Why do so many of you faggots like 9x19 over 45auto?
Can't handle the recoil? Or is the capacity meme a real thing.
>>30105612
Pic unrelated
>>30105612
The preference over 9mm comes from the "capacity meme".
In most self defense situations, only 1-2 shots are ever fired, so .45 is definitely a good pick. However, actual gunfights aren't one and done. Think less dirty Harry and more diehard. People miss. Alot.
>>30105720
Who the fuck is doing a gunfight with just a side arm? And it should be for close range too.
For a Goddamn firefight you need a rifle.
Hey /k/!
I am here because I need some help. I am from Scandinavia where guns aren't really legal unless you have a hunting license or you have been member of a shooting club for two years and even then, the only choice are shitty caliber rifles (hunting license) or okay nine milimetres for ludicrous prices (like $2000 for a Beretta M9 for example).
I am heading over to the US in a few weeks and I've planned to pick up a S&W Model 36 since that's the gun Michael uses in Godfather to shoot Solozzo and the cop and I am a big fan of the Godfather....

Bad idea, don't do it. You will get caught and receive a lengthy jail sentence; arms smuggling is viewed rather seriously in most countries.
Aquire it the legal way. Bend over and swallow your pride. If you have a job, paying for license fees and a shooting club membership shouldn't be a problem.
If a gun is all you want, illegally aquiring one in Denmark shouldn't be a problem. It'll also be much less riskier than smuggling firearms from the US into the EU.
>>30105595
Do it, OP.
Your sunken chest will benefit you greatly
dissassemble it and shove it into your anus or some shit like that

Picture an airgun that shoots real slugs. Compressed air propels the bullet forward. The idea is to have a hearing safe gun that isn't a .22. What does /k/ think?
>>30105446
OP here, i suppose a railgun would work as well, but i imagine that would be more costly
>nigger breaks in
>concerned more about my ears than getting stabbed
>better shoot him with a pellet gun to save my ears over my life
>bleed to death from rusty knife shank
at least my hearing was safe
>>30105488
>pellet gun
The air rifle would shoot actual rounds, maybe 9mm JHP
>inb4 lol 9mm
What is the status of the hearing protection act?
Couldn't find any new information here:

We all have a fictional gun that we wish was real, but what about the ones that we are glad are fiction?
This bitch.
Because it is the stuff of nightmares.

Have you ever liked a gun and started to dislike it eventually after owning it?
I have a feeling I'm going to sell my SGL-31 and P226 after having them both for a few years and flat out don't like them.
>>30105241
I have a few 10/22s that the 22LR panic made a lot less fun, despite having more than a little ammo stockpiled. Every time I loaded a magazine, I was watching unobtainium sink out of my grasp.
>I have a feeling I'm going to sell my... P226
Same, senpai.
The P226 is a little too big (4me).
I bought a police trade-in in stainless for 500 and I'm trying to sell it to a friend for that much. I figure I'll get a Glock instead.
>>30105241
loved my cz at the start 4k rounds later i still like it but dont trust the thing for anything other than range use
