Tallahassee Police Department had a "gun buy back" event today at the station. From 4 til 8PM, they were offering $25 Wal Mart gift cards for your guns, no questions asked. A few good citizens did their part to help clean up the streets by handing over hot Bersas and shitty rusted out break action shotguns and .22s. Having heard of this yesterday, I had little time to prepare for what could be a very lucrative opportunity.
Not wishing to cause trouble, I spoke with the good people of the Tallahassee Police Department and announced a similar intention, likening it to potentially dangerous dogs that needed a new home, and that I was willing to take care of them instead of seeing any destroyed. Diligently, and with the iron will of a toddler, I took up a position across the street with a hastily made sign and a simple offer: cash or gold.
Though my efforts yielded no purchase, I did consider it a small victory nonetheless, as my presence was tolerated by the dozens of officers, activists and TV reporters. A stolen .380 would be interesting if my lifestyle was a little different, but it's not worth the liability. Still, it was an interesting experience and hopefully I prompted some people to think.

I was born a mute and both of my parents have passed away, I have no family left and zero friends because text-to-speech socializing is awkward and I'm quite frankly a very boring person.
Long story short my father passed away last July and I went shooting in August, usually I always went with my dad but I couldn't find any fun in it, I haven't been shooting since then and my collection has been collecting dust except for the cleaning every three months.
I feel like I have no interest left in them except maybe keeping a rifle for hunting and my 1911 for HD.
My depression has been reaching some near-suicide levels lately, I don't know whether I even want to keep a rifle and my 1911.
Are there any other anons who have depression/mental issues or know a way I can get that spark of interest reignited in guns?

There are comfier, lighter, feature packed (swift clips, 6/12, tubes, intergral pouches) and cheaper plate carriers abound. But the eagle is still damn good
got around to buying a source patrol pack so I'm ditching my back mounted IFAK and hydration. adding a baofeng also.
