What is the best blade, knife, or sword that you own? Includes switchblade as well. Do you wield two if you use knives, for knife users?

Pic related. Though a kitchen knife, I'd rather own something better.

My Stromeng Leuku 8". Not my most expensive knife but it's my favorite. It does everything I need a knife for when camping. I pair it either with a puukko or a spyderco pm2 that i keep in my pocket if I don't want 2 knives on my belt.

I plan on getting my first rifle soon, and in my shopping I found a Daewoo DR-200 for $1k. So my questions are

Is it a worthy price? Is the Daewoo just a /k/ me-me or is it worth the price tag?

Secondly, it has the stupid allinone stock/grip setup, and how hard would that be to replace with a normal pistol grip and stock?

hey fellas I'm kinda new to this whole gun hobby

I'm looking for a semi automatic rifle under $800 to have fun with at the range and possibly go hunting with. I already have a 30-06 bolt-action I inherited so I'm thinking about going with an intermediate cartridge, though I'd be open to something larger if I can find it for the right price.

I was thinking about a mini 14 but I've heard they have accuracy problems, can anyone confirm?

>>
>>30164151
mini 14 is functionally fine but expensive for what it is
>>
>>30164151
Do you live in the states? If so build a PSA freedom rifle kit or get an AK. Doesn't cost as much as a mini, same performance shooting the same rounds. I love mini's but they're too pricey for what they are.
What/where do you plan on hunting anyway?
>>
Ar15 or M1 Garand (from the CMP when they restock their inventory). If ar15, build from PSA parts

Okay /k/ I have 700$ to buy something, what do I buy.
I have a ccw already and a hd shotgun as well as a semi decent ar and some milsurp bolt guns. What I'm looking for is something fun that I will want to keep for a long time. Preferably easy to feed. Bonus if you can find two good guns for me to buy.
Is pic related any good?

>>
>>30164138
a Uberti would be excellent. for easy to feed you'll want it in .357 which can also shoot .38 special

good luck finding a genuine Colt for under $700
>>
>>30164138

Why not make it fully decent?

Only practical uses are a trail/large game defensive gun.

I have one I carry while I hike for cougars and bears. I'd trust it with my life for the job I use it for, but other than that it's nothing special. If you have a use for it, get it. If you want it for fun, get it. If you're asking if it's a practical round, then no not really, but it has its applications.
>>
10mm is fun as fuck, expensive as fuck, and not something I would generally recommend to people unless you really, really want one and/or have a need for a larger caliber gun for woods carry, etc

It's a niche application caliber, I have one for woods carry but it's too expensive to plink with on a regular basis like my 9mm's

So I've always wanted to go hunting. I REALLY want to do it but I have a problem. I'm a real softie. I'm afraid that I'd wouldnt be able to pull the trigger and kill an animal. I love animals too much, I guess...

Any words of wisdom or advice for someone like me?

Also, what's a good hunting rifle?
37 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
Im in the same boat. I decided hunting is more about the journey, and not the destination. Go out, have a beer, get the animal in your sights, say "bang" but don't shoot. Go home.
>>
You'll never know if you can or not until its time to actually pull the trigger. Don't work yourself up over it before hand or after, you either can or won't and you wont know until you try. As far as a good rifle goes? I'd try a Savage in .270 or 30-06 if I was a newb right now.
>>
>>30163712
That actually sounds like a good idea. Animal spotting with a rifle.

Hell I could use a blank and fire it off. Animal doesn't die but I get the experience.

Jeans and a jacket.

in non-urban environments? no. Gorka >> *

but if you're stuck inside of some city, initially I'd try to blend in as soon as possible and I'd work on an evac to outskirts/woods.

I have two gorkas. they're fucking amazing for hunting. they'd be unbeatable for SHTF.

I was sitting in my living room cleaning my mosing nagant (surprise it's a meme rifle) then I heard some yelling outside my house.

So I went to the window with my half assed reassembled rifle thinking there was actual trouble or something but there was just a freaky looking guy wearing nothing but his pants and his boots that looks torn up.

The guy was literally running around the rosd screaming out loud something like "love me god! God loves us all! Jesus is coming back and he's not dead!) It spooked me because the guy was obviously on meth and was carrying a bible I think? So I called the police and ten minutes the sirens came, but the freak took off in a wild run.

The police searched the area but no luck finding the weirdo so they told me to call incase I see the guy again, so my question is would it be justified to just shoot the freak if he comes back?

Would it be considered self defense or straight up murder? Because I don't want to get caught off guard while taking thet rash out and get stabbed by the crazy fucker.

I'm in Arkansas so I don't know much about the gun laws here.

What do you exactly do if someone is out in your neighborhood going all wild like that?

>>
Was he threatening your safety? Breaking down your door? Or was he just in the street. If he's just running in the street then that's murder. You can't shoot someone for being weird.
>>
>>30163543
This. As long as he is not harming your or your property ya can't shoot em (I mean you could but it would be frowned upon by the law and society).
>>
>>30163543
Well just curious about it because the guy was obviously out of his mind and was just running around waving his book and beating the ground hard.

It scared me because the guy was insane.
