What does /k/ think of .45 colt?
meh.
>>30191642
new vaquero a shit
>>30191642
it was the most powerful handgun cartridge available for over 50 years, and it's still popular enough that it's sold almost everywhere
What does /k/ think of the Glock 34 Gen 4? I just got one in a trade, was planning on using it for CC. Should I now try to swap for a 17?
>>30191635
It is bang on for size with a government length 1911, but thicker. If you are comfortable concealing it go right ahead.
Picking up a 17 will cut some length out of the nose, but I personally at least run into issues with grip length printing far before slide length is a concern.
>>30191666
Yeah, I noticed that it's almost exactly the same length. I'm just more put off by the looks-always thought Glocks looked a bit odd with a longer slide.
>>30191703
I have a G34 too, and I kind of like the look. Plus the longer sight radius is great, probably my favorite Glock to shoot. And the big beavertail backstrap helps for my big hands.
As for CC, if you can CC a 17, you can CC a 34.
Looking ahead to 2020, there are several nations which will be deploying powerful combinations of fighter aircraft designed for the air to air role. How would you rank these combinations in terms of there overall air to air combat capability? Are there any others I'm overlooking?
US: F22 & F35A
US: F22 & F15C
US: F15C & F35A
UK: Eurofighter Typhoon & F35B
China: J20 & J31
China: J20 & SU30MKK
China: J31 & SU30MKK
Russia: PAK FA & SU35
Another possibility:
India: Rafale & SU30MKI
Why wasn't the F-15 MTD ever put into service?
Because it was a tech demonstrator, and not intended for large-scale production and service.

Maaan it's hot.
Is this it?

This week, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Judiciary Committee has scheduled a possible vote on House Bill 921, sponsored by Speaker of the House, Mike Turzai. This important legislation would eliminate the current Pennsylvania Instant Check System (PICS) as well as the current handgun record of sale and replace it with the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) which is administered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Please contact the House Judiciary Committee members in support of HB 921!
Since its inception in 1998, PICS has...

What does /k/ think of this style mount ?
>inb4 "you just know that from cod"
I don't see a mount. All I see is a bunch of heavy useless sections of railz.
>>30191475
Oddly I like it
seems really pointless
What melee weapons would give you the best odds of survival in a fight with Gigantopithecus blacki?
>>30191248
Normal hunting weapons won't work, that things arms are longer than a boar spear.
Your only chance is a long spear, preferably with a large group of men attacking from all directions. If you are on your own and it grabs your spear you are fucked.
>>30191248
Kaltec, seems to work on blackis pretty good.
A pike. The longest pike you can find.
Or a big Macuahuitl.
ooh, what could this be?
Its garbage
>>30191148
could it be the free swatch of Rhodie camo I asked to be shipped with explicitly no furry shit on it?
A shitty piece of eastern bloc surplus that was made in the millions, smells like ass, and no-one here cares about because why do we need to see pictures of the same fucking thing for the six-millionth time.

Well it's not like posting about it online instead of getting a lawyer is going to hurt your chances! Calling her a bitch is a great idea too :^)

They weren't praising me as a hero. I was treated like a criminal just the same. But after showing them my CHL and my other info I was allowed to leave wth my gun.
My take on this situation is what the fuck.
Quick question guys, I am buying a Glock and I have been planning and trying to decide all week.
I just got back from the Sheriffs office for handgun permit, about to order from Buds.
I was gonna do Glock 43 and an extra mag, and 3 mag extensions, and some accessories and shit i'll need for CCW.
But I am thinking I could drop the accessories and do a Glock 19, and have that capacity I want. It would be abound the same price.
What do? First handgun, long time rifle and AR-15 shooter.
>>30191019
Glock 26
Mag extensions just make it shitty.
>>30191019
>>30191019
get the 19
You just buy a Shield and accessories instead

What pistol do you carry?
>>30190982
Mauser C96

A volcanic pistol to be that weird asshole
Peacemaker for practicality

a .45 Schofield and a .45 Colt
What strategic lessons or military axioms have you learned from your various readings?
From Alexander and Cyrus to Westmoreland and Schwarzkopf, discuss and post tactical tidbits and lessons you've learned

>>30190935
This isn't from a reading but from modern events.
When a conflict is 2 sided but there's 3 sides involved, you have to be selective about your commitment to destroying enemy forces.
For example: Syria. The US wants to defeat the Islamic State while simultaneously keeping as much of the country out of Assad's hands as possible but without actually fighting his or his backers' forces. That means you have to make sure not to gut your enemy's entire army such that the whole front...

When in doubt, "do something" and more than likely it's "go forward"
Panic and inaction has never helped in any sort of contextual situation. Even a horrifically failed charge with heavy losses is still better than sitting and letting them assfuck you.

A gun IS a weapon you idiot.
Is this post-irony or are we now this stupid
How often does /k/ clean their guns? I had gotten into the habit of cleaning after every time I shoot, but now that I'm starting to shoot more I tend to do it every 2 trips or so. What about guns you rarely shoot?
>>30190888
Depends on what ammo I shoot
Tho basically always clean after or at least a wipe down
>>30190888
Depends on how much I shoot.
Couple mags? Quick wipe down, couple patches.
All day, or it's been a while (couple months) since the last thorough cleaning?
Full detail strip and clean.
Nice pic OP.
>>30191717
>>30191579
I was just asking because I usually detail strip it every time ,but last time I took my AR and sig out I just said fuck it and put them up. This was like a week ago.
