About 450 rounds through a 9mm and my crown is blacked out (some parts you can still see the chrome). Is this normal? Ive only been able to remove like 10 percent of it but my solvent ( Hoppes 9 Elite Foaming) is weak I guess.

Alright /k/..... I need help. Here we have the Savage Scout 11 above and the Mossberg MVP below. They're both .308 but the MVP is about $100 dollars cheaper. Is it better to go for the cheaper or is it get what you pay for?

Can't really give you a straight answer. I have been looking at scout rifles lately, as well. I know that the MVP can take regular pmags which and has something similar to savage's accutrigger. The complaints i read about the mvp is that it feels kinda cheap. I ended up going with ruger's gsr.

That's a tough call (and one of the reasons I've avoided buying a bolt-action 308)...
I like the Mossberg's magazines but hate its bolt. I love the Savage's bolt but hate its magazines and rail configuration.

Anybody know much about Mini-14 Tactical rifles. They have one in .300 BLK that looks nice. Was thinking it would be a good woods hunting/bug out gun. Are they reliable? Good platform for .300 blk?

don't work well with steel cased ammo, decently accurate, magazines are hard to find and more expensive that AR.
