How often does /k/ clean their guns? I had gotten into the habit of cleaning after every time I shoot, but now that I'm starting to shoot more I tend to do it every 2 trips or so. What about guns you rarely shoot?

Couple mags? Quick wipe down, couple patches.

I was just asking because I usually detail strip it every time ,but last time I took my AR and sig out I just said fuck it and put them up. This was like a week ago.
Often. If i had an ak I wouldn't clean it nearly as much but my nugget and ar get cleaned pretty much after each use. Nugget niggers need to clean their non chrome lined barrels. Sorry for tangent

You know as well as I that majority of nuggeteers use surplus or steel cased. Both are rough
I haven't shot my guns in almost a year, sadly. I haven't cleaned them in that time. Is it alright to not clean guns so long as you don't shoot them, or is it bad to let it collect dust and dirt sitting in a closet?

its fine. id atleast check on them once in a while to make sure no rust has formed.

If around salt water I'll strip and thoroughly clean, and wipe down blued steel guns after shooting them and swab the bore if it was wet, but other than that I don't really clean.
