So I want to buy a transferrable fun mode weapon.
Problem: they are expensive as fuck. And I will probably never have that kind of cash.
So hear me out, what if I started buying parts kits, rebuilding them, and reselling them at a slight profit (im thinking 150 to 200 more than cost)
And I just steadily kept doing that until I had saved up enough to legally buy a fun mode weapon. Make my hobby pay for itself so to speak.
Would I need to license as a manufacturer with the ATF?
Im kinda hazy on the resale legality of parts kits and completed 80% lower type firearms. Like something about state lines/state laws regarding for sale vs personal use? Help me out here /k/

If you're making a business of it (i.e. often enough to make actual money) you need an FFL.

Lets say you are able to sell them for 200 dollars of profit (protip depending on the parts kit... doubt it)
Lets say you want yourself a full auto M16 lower-- 15-20 thousand dollars give or take.
at a profit of 200 dollars each, youre gonna need to make about 90 guns to get to 17.5k
lets say you end up only making 100... double that to 180 guns
No go to ATF website and read up on who is required to have an FFL (It's actually clearly laid out for the most part)
Or, go with what your heart tells you. Be serious, what do you really think?

Hi /k/. I recently turned 21 and would like to get my CPL. I'm an experienced shooter, but I'm no expert on handguns. What would be a good fun for EDC, to keep in my vehicle, etc? I'm looking more for reliability, quality, and stopping power rather than concealability. My budget is around $800, but any money I can save would be funneled towards the price of a good holster and extra mags.
Currently I'm looking at the Springfield XD-40, it was recommended to me by a family member and seems to be an all around great weapon. Pic related.

Get a Glock 20. Comes with 3 15 round mags unless you live in a communist state. Will run you around $500-$600 out the door depending on the dealer and the deal you can get. The extra $200-$300 you can get a nice holster and extra mags, and food for your new friend. It's in 10mm so you're not going to find more power for your money in a pistol. Reliable, affordable, and it will drop anything you make it go bang at. I carry one most days myself and it's one of the best pistols on the market for what it's designed for and in its price range. In my opinion.
Final Thread
This is a one-day shoot out in a spot we scouted out previously in Panoche Hills.
Here are the particulars:
DATE: November 7th, 2015
TIME: 7:30 AM
ADDRESS: 46378 W Panoche Rd, Firebaugh, in the Subway parking lot.
I don't expect everyone to get up at the asscrack of dawn to get there at 7, but if you're in the area or want to help set up, it'd be great.
DIRECTIONS TO THE SPOT: Drive down W Panoche Rd, past the Subway where we're meeting. Continue down until the road ends. (It turns into private property, there are buildings around.) Turn left onto Panoche Rd proper. Continue driving for approx. two minutes until you see a circular parking lot on the right side overlooking the dry riverbed and a large, flat basin. Pic will be provided.
BULLSHIT: We will be needing tables, chairs, tarps, and food. Two people are confirmed for bringing grills, so charcoal, burgers, hot dogs, and accessories would be welcome. I have a burn permit.
Tannerite, lead, and clays are okay, and although my clay launcher -still- hasn't come in, we should have somebody else arriving with one, trap shooting is still on the menu.
Bring tunes, targets, and trash bags.

I prefer a stream spray vs a fog because of increased distance. Fog / cone is easier for people to get good coverage with though.
Regardless, buy a training unit and practice deploying it.

So it seems the plan is to deploy "less than 50" special forces to the Tell Abyad area, so they can call in air strikes from the ground for the assault on Raqqa.
There's been some criticism for sending in that number (people saying it's too small or too large) but a small force is all that's needed to call in air strikes, and it's only natural that the US wouldn't give the kurds the ability to call in US airstrikes directly.
From the map though, going straight for Raqqa seems kind of foolhardy. Why not capture the Tishrin Dam instead to cut off Manbjj. Of course you can't bomb the dam and cut the bridge that way because of the collateral damage, but if you seize it as a checkpoint that would accomplish way more than storming into Raqqa and not being able to hold it because you have no dudes.

you need more than 50 men to man a checkpoint. Thats why. That and special forces are meant for long range reconaissance, hence why the airstrike only policy. Using them as line infantry would be plain retarded.
Essentially, the common opinion is and has been that ISIS cannot hold under supported assault.
Raqqa has always been a high profile target, kind of like what Tora Bora was in Afghanistan. The US wants the diplomatic victory of saying "Look what we did, we totally got this!" ignoring the fact that ISIS is still thoroughly dug in throughout Mosul, etc.
In short, they're going for the head of the Hydra, knowing full well it's not going to end anything- it's just a trophy.
