I live in kekifornia, specicially LA. I'm applying for my ccw permit.
I have to choose 3 guns I would like to carry. Problem is, my only handguns are a 92fs, 1911, and some revolvers. Not really the best ccws. I don't want to buy any small guns for concealed carry on the (good) chance that my application is denied if Peruta doesn't go well, because I would have basically no use for them at that point.
Wut do?

Get a smaller gun.

Wear looser shirts.

Get that deep concealment holster that people were talking about not to long ago.
>>
>>27789665

>LA County

You're fucked, get a pocket gun anyway because why not
>>
>>27789689
if Peruta vs SD goes favorably, self defense will be a good enough reason to apply for a ccw.
I wouldn't have any purpose for a pocket gun if I can't get a ccw though.
>>27789687
the urban carry holster? I was looking into them, I still feel like a full sized handgun wouldn't be ideal for concealed carry, even with one of those.

So I am a fedora wearing, neck beard and I discovered this site 30 minutes ago.
http://www.swordsofnorthshire.com/custom-swords/customize-your-own-katana/custom-made-hand-forged-samurai-sword-japanese-katana

I know jack shit about steel, Don't even know if I can trust the reviews, but I was wondering how good is 9260 vs 1060 vs 1095 steel is for a blade? Will the swords be durable? What quality do you think these will be?

If you are inexperienced, go buy a Cold Steel Katana for cheap. Don't mess with custom order shit.

Not necessarily. You can do one and not the other. I have always pillar bedded and skim bedded my stocks. Best of both worlds.

I just accidentally fired my gun in my car while parked outside my house in my neighborhood.

What's the likelihood that one of my neighbors heard it?

I just bought pic related about 30 minutes ago. Waiting for it to ship from Kentucky. Any tips for a first time handgun owner? How many rounds or how much time can I expect to train with it before I become proficient? Any training methods in particular you recommend?

Okay as the name implies I want to make the plaque doctor mask to be able to take commercial or nato style gas mask filters.

I like the appearance it has but I want it to be able to have the filtering gas mask implemented inside of the mask more importantly keeping it from obscuring the design.

Give me some ideas and input on how best I can achieve at making the plaque doctor mask an actual safe working gas mask that I can use.

Also just to keep this weapons related (considering the bullcrap I been through) what type of black powder brand is best for use in black powder revolvers and as well which caliber of the bullet do you prefer for a black powder revolver (that is if you have one or planning on getting one)

Interesting idea.

Odd but unique.

I would go more of pic related but use the painter's filters that You get from Lowe's and just fabricate the old renaissance plague mask over it.

Tell me /k/, are "large cruisers" really a thing or are they just battlecruisers with a shiny new American name slapped on them?

>>
Well British battlecruisers had battleship-tier firepower with inferior armor.
German battlecruisers had battleship-tier protection but smaller guns.
Kirovs were called battlecruisers.
Call it whatever the hell you want.
>>
>>27789000
When you say German battlecruisers, are you including the planned ones they had in WWII that they never built or are you just considering their WWI ones?

Additionally w/ the Brits is that only the case w/ their WWI ones, I was under the impression the HMS Hood was originally classified as a battlecruiser but was later just considered a fast-battleship like the Kongo-class was after their modernizations.

What's the point of using the safety on a hunting rifle? If you follow the 4 rules of gun safety, a mechanical safety is unnecessary. If you don't, then you shouldn't be handling a gun in the first place.

WHAT IF a twig gets caught in the trigger guard, and WHAT IF it's aimed at someone at that moment. A mechanical safety shouldn't bother you anyway, leave it on.
>>
>>27788837
>If you follow the 4 rules of gun safety, a mechanical safety is unnecessary
Sure, that's why most firearms have mechanicall safeties dumbass
>>
>>27788860
>WHAT IF it's aimed at someone at that moment
Then you'd be violating rule 2.
>WHAT IF a twig gets caught in the trigger guard
That may be worth worrying about when crawling through thick brush, but not under normal circumstances.

Is 5.45x39 ammo hard to find or should I just get a 7.62x39 AK?
Are 5.56 AKs even worth it?
Id rather get an AK over an AR since I don't like barbie guns.
14 posts and 4 images submitted.

5.45 is definitely not as common as 7.62x39 that you can buy at wal-mart. If it's your first AK, I recommend 7.62 all the way.

>Are 5.56 AKs even worth it?

In my opinion, no.
>>
>>27788385
>Is 5.45x39 ammo hard to find or should I just get a 7.62x39 AK?
Through the magic of the internet, neither is hard to find. A lot of places carry 545, but less than 762 for obvious reasons.
>Are 5.56 AKs even worth it?
Mine works fine, and offers a lot more ammo choices than either of the others.
>>
>>27788385
