Getting a Garand next fambly
Okay /k/ so we all know the world will go to shit, whats the scenario and how are you prepared for it?
>whats your bug-out bags and locations? >weapons? ammo? survival stockpiles?
>plans for the re-population of the world with the strongest humans only?
>your dreams of a fortified compound to survive the dissipation of society?
this a queer-gear and weapons thread, and innawoods thread and a bug-out thread combined!
>>27784908
>locations
rowing facility east of me for access to fish, deer, and boat launches to travel
>repopulation
kill naggers, utilitarian society, if you don't work, you don't eat. Capitalism for everyone, make america great again
>fortified compound
capture the local school
>>27784908
>bug out bag
I bought one from my local prepper store and added shit that suited my own needs. As for a weapon. I have my trusty SKS with plenty of ammo. I also have a bow and arrows because I'm a fag.
>Location
An abandoned campsite along the ohio river. with a small row boat, If needed.
>Re population
If need be, I'll start a rag tag militia and kill anyone who wont join me.
... profit?

chekd
you would capture the local school and fortify it?
What do you guys usually think the difference between new and used guns should be? I am pretty new to guns. Looking at the Cz 75 P-01 in the pic someone has priced at $550. Is this a little high?
I have no idea if that's a good price but cz is a piece of shit meme gun. Get a glock
>>27784892
It all depends on the gun and the condition. Thoes new are about $600 so that may be decent. One of the biggest things with used guns is to make sure you inspect it in person first. A carry gun like that you will want to make sure there is no rust or no excessive ccw wear. Also when buying used, unless it is mags or real quality optics or lights do not let what he includes with the gun have impact on the price. An uncle Mikes holster is not a bargaining chip.

This bait is as stale as your moms mons
Okay so I have to qualify with an M4 before I can deploy and I completely failed shooting with iron sights last week. I'm in the Air Force so I last time I shot a gun was an m16 years ago in BMT sadly.
Anyone have any tips before the next time I go? I did okay shooting with the M68 optic but on iron sights NONE of my bullets hit the silhouette or even the target. It's like I was shooting blanks.
>>27784824
also the targets are 300 meters away.
I'm not sure how else to prepare for next time as I don't have any weapons at home or any firing range in my backyard.
>>27784824
How do you suck that bad? CATM couldn't even get you on paper?
Line the tip of the post up in the center of the peep, your eye should naturally do this for you. Focusing on the front post, superimpose the whole sight picture over the little silhouette of the man, squeeze trigger. I'm assuming your trigger control is alright because you could hit shit with the aimpoint.
What afsc are you?

Sounds like a kinky sex position
>>27784794
>a weapon without a large magazine like Lanza's AR-15
For what reason would you add that, other than stirring up anti-gunners
Look, I get it. Everyone has a personal style about how they want their gun to look. Everything from tactifool cawadooty ripoffs to grandpa Fudd in the woods.
And yet I keep running into guns where I have to ask myself "WTF were they thinking???" or "Did they really spend money on.. on... this?!"
So post guns that make you do a double take and shake your head in pity.
>>27784592
I never shake my heads at a gun. I shake my heads at a stupid OP. Grow up and do something constructive for once.

I like this new word filter.
M4 was a piece of shit, and was clearly outclassed by Panther and T-34's throughout the war.
>gasoline aircraft engine that took fire every hit, unlike the T-34
>had a cannon inferior to the Panther and T-34, firing a smaller shel
>had crap cross-country mobility, getting stuck and breaking down
>paper thin armor of only 50mm compared to T-34 and Panther
It was the shittiest tank of the war. Face it.
Why didn't the US field...

Yes, he is. For defending crap tanks, that is.
But Americans will defend anything anyway.

I have been collecting brass for awhile now for rifles and pistol rounds. (Mainly .308 and .9mm)
I been wanting to get into handloading my own ammunition.
The problem is I have no friggin' idea where to start. I dont know what equipment/tools I would need, or the process. All I know its cheaper than buying new ammo. Plus it would give me something to do in the winter months.
So any fellow /k/omrades here handload, and can at least give me a general idea where to start?
I have at least $1200 saved up in the bank, and I believe the...

For start I recommend the Lee classic turret press kit. Everything to get you started, but I would suggest getting an electronic scale because those beam scales take forever to weigh a load.
Instructions are included and tell you everything you need to do, and dont forget the dies
>.9mm
For the /k/ommrade on a budget, the Classic Lee Loaders or Lee Hand Press kits are good too...
How do you kill a Wizard?
For the purpose of this exercise, the wizard knows you're coming, you have a budget of 10,000 American dollars or an equivalent, and the wizard has taken action to protect himself by casting a spell that makes him immune to weapons that were designed or manufactured in your country, applying to both ammunition as well.

I got a B for posting about gun stock finishes
Mod said it want k related,
But I'm betting they will let this thread live,
>>27784269
>complaining like a did shit to you
>not posting about how you would kill a wizard
I shiggydiggy
>a spell that makes him immune to weapons that were designed or manufactured in your country, applying to both ammunition as well
what a shitty spell, why not the typical 'impenetrable shield', a wizard staple
I found this concept for a new LeMat revolver. I thought it was sexy as hell. The LeMat is in my opinion the most interesting of the percussion revolvers. You had 9 chambers in the cylinder and a 20 gauge underbarrel shotgun.
I'm not sure what this design would be chambered in.
I like it.
Post concept guns and the like! Concept ships, tanks, etc.
Here's the breach. Sexy break opens... mmmmm.
I know /k/ thinks submersible aircraft carriers are dumb but I still think it's awesome. And with VTOL still in its infancy who knows what the future holds.

America's fucked.
Again.
Sub-launched, used on their Shang-II-class class nuclear boats that have dorsal VLS modules, as well as tube-launched from their Song-class, Yuan-class SSK and Shang-I-class SSN.
YJ-18 would be 290 nmi ranged (about 537 km) and would utilize a subsonic low-altitude cruise and a supersonic Mach 3 terminal dash trajectory. It also is capable of using waypoints and terminal evasive maneuverings.
tl:dr it a Chinese Harpoon
The inbred committee machine finally unfucked it's gun problem.

first in a series of flight tests to evaluate the in-flight operation of the plane’s internal gun.
This is the second phase of F-35 gun testing, which will assess the gun's performance and integration with the airframe while the plane is airborne. The first phase of the test period consisted of 13 gunfire events with the plane on the ground over three months, which verified the integration of the gun into the plane.
There was a gun problem?
>>27784163
No, they just built a brand new gun for it instead of using the venerable M61 is all.
