Picked up a FEG PJK-9HP for $175. It has an interesting history. I was used in a crime and made it to the ATF for testing. They removed the firing pin and cut it. I need to find or make a new firing pin for it and I should be good to go.

there, $10 for a new one
Hey /k/, what do you guys think of the OH-58D Kiowa? Anyone here have experience with him (flying or CAS)?
Like the appendix, it once had a function that was vital. Over time, however, that purpose has been shuffled to other pieces of equipment. It remains but it's original function has been long forgotten.
If they were giving them away cheap, I'd definitely pick up one. Imagine the fireworks show you could put on by filling launcher tubes with roman candles and mortar fireworks for new years and independence day.

Rip ;_;
Kiowas aren't anything special.
The pilots on the other hand...
Alright, /k/, today, I'm starting a new thing.
I was in my room, doing the coolest things ever, like jerking off and drinking Mountain Dewritos.

I had recently acquired GLORIOUS 7.62X54mmR
Opened can, smell of the Russian rifle lube: vodka
Acquired a .50BMG shot from a humvee in Al-Udeid Airbase by way of active family service members.
Fingerfucking empty case.

Idk what you posting. but can you put the 762.39 into your butthole
What is this rifle? It's a single shot and looks like a Martini Henry to me.
It has writing that looks like Egyptian to me on the receiver.
>>27567893
That's because it is. Based on the text on it looks like it may be a Nepalese rifle but I'm not certain
>>27567893

Looks like one of those IMA Nepalese imports.
Is it possible to get a modern cartridge to fire out of a modern gun loaded with black powder ie 5.56/7.62?
hypothetically speaking and maybe a stupid question. But can you use bp in say a ar15 or such? I'm just getting into reloading and thought it would be neat to have clouds of smoke while shooting.
>>27567851
Yes but it probably won't cycle. You might be able to install much lighter springs.
>can you use bp in say a ar15
I'm going to take a guess and say no. For one thing I'm not sire that there would be enough pressure to cycle the gun, and for another the reason that you get a big cool cloud of smoke with BP is that there is a lot of unburned particulate in the smoke when burning it, seems like that would foul up the gas port or gas tube rather quickly.
If you figure out the right amount of powder it would work fine, would foul up a fuck of alot quicker though, can't imagine an AR last more than a hundred rounds before you need a thorough cleaning

When you redneck to the point where you no longer have hands, chances are you are a good shot.
I had an optometrist with one normal hand and a nub with a single finger. That finger was fucking insane and he used it to teach me how to work contacts.

Pretty based tbh
http://www.truthandaction.org/feds-arrest-three-men-accused-prepping-martial-law/
So is "stockpiling" weapons and ammo illegal? I know they were breaking fed law with homemade explosives but is just having weapons/ammo and armor illegal now?
The media wants to imply it is. Or imply that only psychos have that many.
You know, demonizing gun owners like the Nazis demonized the Jews.
>>27567685
What do you think OP?
Sounds like they got arrested for making explosives, and then one of them had a FA/SBR/SBS/DD as a cherry on top.
>>27567685
Its not illegal to horde weapons or ammo nor is it illegal to make explosives

>35 dB - 42 dB noise isolation
So could these also double as hearing protection while out shooting? Serious question btw.
Dunno, try it yourself. Or just buy purpose-built earpro because that's actually meant to be protection.
It blocks noise from 35-42 dB, it doesn't reduce it that much. If you look on their site, they say that all of their ear plugs are rated NRR12. They claim that the rating is bullshit and their plug real world is NRR20, which might be enough for most outdoor shooting, but I wouldn't really trust them on that.
Impact sports are rated nrr22, and it's fine for most outdoor, but you'd still need to double up with plugs for indoor or loud guns. If you don't want to double up, then look for something at least nrr30. I've never had to double up on...

i just wear skull candies when i shoot. Gotta blast um real loud too on account of how deaf i am.
Eurofags,
Where do you get your accessories from ?
All the cool shit seems to be limited to Amerifags.
Any adresses?
>>27567285
Accessories are pretty easy to buy in Europe except if they are magazines, suppressors or flash hiders/compensators.
The euro market is very limited, I can't find much other than Magpul, CAA, ATI and UTG accessories. The best American accessories such as free floating rails for ARs and ACE stocks for AKs are unheard of around here, whenever I go into a gunshop the people there don't even know what I'm talking about. ITAR really is a bitch.
Only alternative : Israel. Fab defense makes decent accessories for several weapons, and websites such as zahal are more than willing to sell to Europe.
>>27567285
A lot of firearms accessories are restricted by ITAR from being shipped outside of the U.S.
Wouldn't want you to buy something that Ahmed can get his hands on before the next batch of refugees land.
So does /k/ know of any first focal plane scopes that are in the mid range, and have a BDC for AR-15s?
I was looking around at scopes, and even the ones with BDC tend to have SFP reticles.

>>27567246
Norden crs is the only answer. Vcog is pretty good too, but doesn't illuminate the entire reticle. Excellent glass though

Before we go further I guess I should have made it clear. I am not looking for a lot of magnification. I am looking for something with 1-2X up to 8x at most.
This will be on a more tactical rifle, and not a precision one.
Sup /k/,
German guy here.
With the recent influx of refugees and increased violent crimes I've been considering personal safety.
I'm on track to get myself some guns but that will take a year until I am actually allowed to own one at home, rather than keeping it at the range.
Until then, I need something else that I can keep around for self-defense.
I've heard CS gas is pretty shit since it doesn't work well on some people, and sprays in general are often less effective than people think. I've also read about RAM weapons, pistols...

For long range applications say 1000 yards.
With equal rifles which out performs the other and why?
>>27566466
Creedmoor. Higher pressure max, higher velocity for same weight projectile, more efficient, true short action. Swede is pseudo-long action, kind of sits at a point between long and short action. A lot of people get autistic about having short, stiff actions, but it doesn't make that much of a difference for accuracy, depending on how the bolt locks up. But, still, it is a factor that the Creedmoor beats Swede at.
Swede is basically just better for cheaper factory ammo.
6.5x55 has quite a bit more potential if you load your own.

Noguns from a nofunz country here. I only get to shoot at licensed ranges.
I was thinking about getting some black powder gun (as anything constructed before 1885 or replica of 1885 weapon is unregulated here). Is there anything you would recommend?
I was looking at Remington New Model Army .44 replica, but I have no experience in this area, so it's just the popularity that caught my eye.
The 1858 is probably the best choice. Make sure to get a steel version, and buy a spare cylinder
>>27564943
Brass framed looks nice but its pretty weak if you want to do a lot of shooting. Brass trigger guard us ok though. 1858s by Uberti are pretty solid. I wish you the best luck OP, are you in Hungary by chance?
Thanks guys, that's what I'll go with then. Any rifle you would recommend? I love me some rifles.
