Why do people still buy milsurp shit when even a $200 modern budget bolt action is way better in every single way?

Who are the best AK manufacturers for 2015? [pic semi-related]
79 posts and 8 images submitted.
>>
There are cast trunions on USA made "Kalashnikov brand" rifles. Kalashnikov Concern has no relations with Kalashnikov USA aka "RWC Group". The best manufacturers are Molot, Saiga, and Arsenal.
>>

>Kalashnikov USA
kek
Their shit is hilarious.
>Russian AKs banned
>We'll just steal the name and pretend they're the same thing
>Meanwhile the only product they've put out, that I've seen, was previously imported converted Saigas.

As far as your question, my vote is for DDI.
>While they've had some growing pangs, they have backed up their products 100% (unlike ARSEnal)

It's the only way the BRRRT could have improved.

It no longer needs a pilot to kill.

Anyone work with Sikhs in their country's armed forces?

Are they really bro-tier?

Not in military but I do work around farmers. Sure they are bro tier for their beliefs but they are arrogant as fuck. They will expect you to behave like a servant. Not bro tier at all.

This. They're one of the few groups that are bro-tier until you actually get to know them.

Civil lads though

What's the best bushcraft knife other than a mora? And what's a good one (other than a mora) that won't break the bank? Also, to keep it /k/ related, how would you use said knife for self defense via a wild animal.

You can find an Esee-4 for a pretty decent price if you shop around

But you'd get better help on >>>/out/
>>
"best" is subjective but there are a bunch of good knives out there. esee, survive, busse, randall, winkler, list goes on and on
>>
>>28321259
When I posted the question they all went aspergers on me and insisted that knife threads belong on /k/. Anyways, I'll check that out. I already have a mora and just wanted to know what else was out there.

Any of ESEE's or Becker's blades are good, just pick one.
>>
>>28321088
go to a knife store and fingerfuck any ESEEs, Ka-Bars or Beckers you can get your hands on.
>>
>>28321088
Stock Ka-Bar's suck. The ontario SP1 will treat you better if you really want a clip point, but in a survival knife you probably want to avoid a clip point.
>KaBar BK2 is god-tier and won't snap on you if you're batoning or chopping wood
>Gerber LMFII is god-tier because integral sharpener, pommel can be used as a mallet in the sheath
>ESEEs are great
>OKC ASEK is good but smallish
>anything from SOG is okay quality, but anything other than the SEAL and SEAL PUP will likely disappoint you
>Ontario RTAK and RAT knives are great but basically ESEE clones

I'll start us off anyway

Steel case ammo: Good? Bad? Depends? It works fine in my Mosin and Vepr, but I recently got a handgun and everybody says to avoid it like the plague. Is there any particular reason to do so? Only problem I've had with it so far is maybe the cases splitting 1 in every 30-40 or so.

It's not good ammo but it puts holes in things
>>
the only real downsides to steel are

1. isn't as elastic as brass.
2. doesn't hold heat like brass.
3. doesn't store as well as brass.
>>
For being steel case, I actually by a lot of it in 9 mm (next shipment is around 3000 rounds) For my Beretta 92 and Beretta Nano because I tend to be a range faggot who goes there every Wednesday for 2 hours.

I get maybe 6 "bad eggs" (Squibs/Hangfires) per 100 rounds I usually wait after it goes "click" to see if something happens because I don't want to be that dindu that blows a few fingers off playing with duds.

Usually, when people talk about improving the 5.56, they talk about increasing the caliber, such as going to a 6.5mm round instead. But what about the other direction? Why not introduce a .19 inch caliber cartridge? 5.0x45mm would be pretty nifty.

What's not to like?

I'm really tired of dragging my feet about getting one of these, I know I don't like the set color options of the pre-customized guns but I can't decide if I should buy an inox or a black brigadier to send in. I'm looking for opinions and anyone who has Wilson guns to give opinions and share experiences, especially the Berettas. Also Beretta thread.

I'd rather buy an M9A3 now that they're available and cost about the same or a touch less than the WC.
>Convertible to FS or G configuration easily by yourself instead of having a one way permanent conversion by WC to G.
>Vertec frame, but comes with Hogue grips to make it exactly like a regular 92 frame if you like.
>Factory threaded barrel with a flush thread protector that won't cause holster compatibility issues
About the only thing the WC has over the M9A3 is WC's handful of parts and a polished trigger pull. Depending on how much you value those two things, it's hard to justify the WC over the M9A3. The M9A3 just has more actual features going for it.
