I bought my first milsurp rifle and I was wondering what the beat way to get the grease out of the stock wood? I don't want to sand it or anything, just have it clean

Intratec AB-10 also every reincarnation of the tec-9 I've shot was absolute shit. The only reason I've picked the AB-10 is because it's a huge lump of a 9mm with microscopic baby dick of a barrel. I don't know how this thing got mass produced; Also I don't know how people believe this thing is suitable for full auto when it can't go 10 rnds without jamming.

Actually the reason I got to fuck around with one so much is because my friend got one from a questionable source we took it to the range put about 200 rnds through it during which it jammed about 15 times not even fucking with you then he sold it to some negro he worked with for twice the price.

I hope all Mak owners can appreciate how great a deal these milsurp maks are. I could see new production maks with the same reliability and quality would easily go for $700 on an American market.

Got my first AK, 1000 rounds of 7.62 on the way. Not sure if I should shit it up with magpul furniture, anyone have a zhukov stock? Also should I just stick with the irons, is putting a red dot on a wasr stupid?

Put a Zhukov on my wasr because shitty wood was shitty. Has held up pretty well. Gets knocked around a good bit and scuffed up but still going strong. I'd tell you go for it unless you're one of those "rifle is fine" types

Was the AR style charging handle a good design? Would it have been better if it used a more standard style charging handle like most other rifles?
It's an alright design, it keeps your hands away from the chamber during manipulation, doesn't reciprocate, and allows the weapon to have an easily usable dust cover, but it also means you cannot slam the bolt into battery normally, requiring a forward assist.
Side charging designs are more intuitive I think.

What are some basic skill sets that are necessary for survivalist situations, like natural disasters, as well as SHTF-type scenarios like societal collapse, civil war, etc?
Specifically, what skills would be useful to both you as an individual and to those around you, possibly as a member of a larger group? Skills like being able to set up communication systems, basic engineering and construction skills, electrical engineering, metallurgy and machinist skills, explosive handling, hunting, bushcraft, etc?
As much as I would like to save my own ass in an emergency, I feel like I would have a moral obligation to help others and contribute positively. I really don't feel like I have a hell of a lot of experience to offer at the moment though.

What do yall think? I love thr sks, but i dont wana pay $350 for a $200 rifle. I see the simplicity of the vz2008 and it reminds me of the sks, but with a threaded barrel. Its also a newer rifle, so i wont be getting some beat all to hell relic.
But sks kicks so much ass. I think that whole slam fire issue is a plus, in heavy combat the pin gets stuck and voila, full auto.

Sup /k/, recently got an old milsurp rifle. It's got the standard array of bumps and bruises, but this dent is rather annoying. It's right where I hold the stock and the texture is unpleasant.
Is there any way to fix a dent like this?

Damp rag and a laundry iron, the heat and water should cause the wood to swell out, you may need to sand it down a bit though.
