hey /k/ how hard/easy is it to build an AR-15?

you can literally put together an AR from the ground up with a vice bolted to a plank, an armorer wrench, some punches and a hammer.

Do you even really need a torque wrench? I have access to one, but honestly the torque spec on most barrel nuts is not that high, like 65 foot pounds or something like that. You can pretty much just tighten until you think it's reasonably tight and just deal with it, especially if your barrel nut is jammed in place with a rail

Can anyone tell me about No Stress Mike? I really can't get a bead on him, he has all this philosophy and survival and weapons stuff on his channel, I can't tell if he's nuts or an expert in all this stuff. Every once in a while I get tired of us having to cover the same ground over and over again but that's pretty rare. I copied this from the CMP page on the M1903
M1903 rifles made before February 1918 utilized receivers and bolts which were single heat-treated by a method that rendered some of them brittle and liable to fracture when fired, exposing the shooter to a risk of serious injury. It proved impossible to determine, without destructive testing, which receivers and bolts were so affected and therefore potentially dangerous.
To solve this problem, the Ordnance Department commenced double heat treatment of receivers...
