The first time someone has said that on /ic/.
What do you think of Googles doodle?
Looks pretty, good job at stylization, as far as the figurehead however: Marxism is a flawed ideology
What do you think about upgrading classics?
>>2526907
it´s really not as ironic, cynical and mature as you want it to be
you saw the shirt on aliexpress too?
>>2526907
It's lazy and lacks creativity.

So I'm making a palette and I wanted opinions and suggestions
Some colors are missing to make it complete, the squares with hatching are empty, I need two vermillions, two reds, one indigo and one Chartreuse
And what do you think about the colors I've chosen so far?
>>2525304
What's the point of doing this? Digital colour mixing is different from traditional, so building a palette is a bit dumb. Plus almost every painting program comes with colour swatches which are pretty much what you are doing.
this is pointless
>>2525307
I know but I have lots of experience with traditional media so having a selection of colors and mixing them up is easier for me than having to move a pointer ona slider
I know drawing programs come with swatches, I plan to make the swatch version later on.
Is sycra right about learning to draw from imagination instead of using reference? It seems very contrary to what I've read elsewhere.
if you want to follow the word of someone who's been drawing for 10 years yet still looks like he's in post-intermediate phase, go for it
I preffer to trust the great masters, academics and traditional artists, not even considering his quality of work
The best colors appear in nature, too. If you aim to be a painter it's pretty much impossible to be good just by your own imagination. Drawing without knowledge of color would be like writing music without knowing how to play it

I dont really care for his stylization work.
Guys i bought lots of markers and i really want to learn how to use it. Any tips or videos that can help me?
>pic related its mine
>don't worrie bois i got dis one
OP read the sticky and follow the learnings of loomis and glenn vilppu.
god speed.

What is the velocity of god?

nothing.
what beats light to a specified space.
nothing.
nothing is faster than light as it is present before all. god it more than light, god is nothing.
Are there any tablets that can just double as just personal laptop for everyday use as well as be decent for drawing? I've been using a kindle fire and while the drawing program is okay the screen is too small to read Manga.
I'm thinking about the Surface 4? I don't want apple products. Also I'll probably duel boot with Ubuntu. I also don't want to spend more than about 1500

wacom
Anyone tried the cintiq companion ?
>>2523525
I've ordered the previous model (3, haven't received it yet tho, so can't speak about performance) and with the recent announcement of the Wacom "Universal", pen I'm pretty excited! Really hope it works with older models of the Surface (if I have to buy a 5 I'll be pissed), then it should be a really good alternative to the Companion!
Only known photo of Loomis edition

ITT: Little or big things we hate in the industry and around it
for me its the word 'art'. i fucking despise how people use the word instead of using illustration, painting or drawing. its like people are either fucking lazy to say the whole thing or they just fulfill their definition of the word and glorify their own works in the process.
fuck art, fuck everyone who calls themselves artist and fuck every single piece theyve done. fuck salvador dali and his arrogant obnoxious nigger mentality.

art and artists are shorter than illustration and illustrators nigga, and what we are doing is closer anyway of davinci and gogh that what modern art does
>>2524826
I sure do love art
why are women often drawn with bad backs?
because it puts emphasis on ass and breasts?
cause its prettier
Because women in real life often do have bad backs / bad posture.
I'm a teenager who wants cash money this summer by painting shit. What is the most lucrative type of painting for a kid with a fair amount of talent? Nudes? Portraits? Houses? (Note: I live in the middle of Connecticut) I've considered doing landscapes live, but my mother told me paintings of people's houses and families are better.

This is nice. Nice and hot.
>>2514843
Of course it is.
It's Incase's work, nigga.
>>2514867
Incase's stuff doesn't really grab me most of the time. I mean it's good it just doesn't catch my eye as much as some other people's work. This one is really appealing to me though.
Things that you do to save time/effort on your art. I'll go first: when I don't want to fill up a canvas, sometimes I'll paint a silhouette of something like a tree or building that conviently fills up any excess space. Pic related.
>>2528295
That entire picture is lazy.
>>2528300
Yeah, sorry about the rotation. I'm on mobile. Also the painting in question isn't finished.
>>2528295
I that's pretty cool actually
