For one I like it, seems like fun thing to do while at the same time teaches you a bit how you can alter existing designs to suit yours or client needs.

I liked those photomanipulations were a guy inserted figures from classical paintings into modern environments, among others birth of Jesus into metro.

I have no problem with it. I like seeing an interesting new take or well composed/painted image of iconic characters.

Tons of artists in the wake of Rapoza's tmnt now do their treatments to iconic IP's in the hope of garnering jobs. When it's done well it's cool, when it's not it's quickly forgotten with all the other pleb art posted to twitter/facebook/DA
