Rate my sprite? It's meant to be an Oni. It's done in black only as the game follows a style that makes it so that all 'live' things are black/transparent.
The first two looping frames are idle and the last four are an earthquake attack.

The art works but the earthquake attack doesn't. He should look like he's putting more force into it. I'd rotate the body so he goes up on one leg more before smashing down, like sumo's do.

Minor axis points to the Vanishing point when ellipses are in a vertical position (in a 2pt perspective)
What about when ellipses are in a horizontal position like my picture? Specificaly in a 2pt perspective, they are perpenticular to the horizontal line.

In a ONE point perspective drawing, when you sit an ellipse on the flat surface (horizontal) the minor axis is always perpenticular to the horizontal line.
In 2 points perspective, minor axis, when ellipse are in vertical position, always point to the vanishing points.
MY QUESTION : Where does the minor axis points of an ellipse points out, in a 2pt perspective picture, when it is sitting on the flat surface...

Hi /ic/. I just got back into drawing around March this year after having stopped for a few years. I'm nowhere near as good as I want to be yet. I've been wanting to get a tablet for a while now, but should I wait until I'm at the level of competency I want on paper first? Also, should I go for a more expensive tablet right off the bat, or start with something cheaper?

Get a tablet whenever you want. You'll get the most out of it when you have solid drawing skills already though. Nothing wrong with getting one while you still are learning to draw, just make sure you still practice pencil and paper at the same time.
In my opinion it is better to invest in a good tablet that will last years rather than buy cheap then later need to buy another nicer one. Just get a good one at the start if you are serious about art, even if you are not yet that skilled.

I can't wrap my head around color. I've been pushing my drawing and that's going great but every time I throw color into it, it's like babby's first scribble. It seriously makes me want to give up. The other thing is I can't fucking finish anything. I have all these half cocked sketches and things, mostly because I can't color so they go nowhere. I have a bamboo from wacom and while it works great I don't like how frictionless it is. When you draw with a pen or pencil there's a little bit of friction that I'm used to while guiding my pen. With the tablet it's just gliding on it. Any tips or trick?

Can you guys give me some of the best sources for learning how to paint with tempera?
It is much cheaper and much faster to work than with oil, so I was thinking in learning firstly how to handle this material. I also know that one can achieve great results with it, for the unfinished paintings of Michelangelo and above all his Tondo Doni are sublime. His Tondo Doni is, in my view, superior to any of Leonardo Madonna’s.

Tempera is very different from oils so probably won't help you transition very well.
Also the tempera used by old masters is very different from that of today.
I don't think many people use tempera other than the cheap shit when kids in kindergarden play.
You can make your own egg tempera but it's a difficult medium because it dries so quickly.
