So I have this art piece due tomorrow and its like pure shit. I'm allowed to edit it online but like idk what can be done. Supposing I scan this piece and get it into Photoshop, can it be resurrected? Anyone have experience and can show me what to do? I'm a lazy ass and really don't want to restart but if I have to I will lol.

1. foreground stuff is in silhouette but the shit on the left is completely bright even in shadow
2. perspective is ass
3. bright colored light in the sky is colored really well but doesnt show up on the left outcrop.
it wouldnt be bad if you just deleted the entire left outcrop.
All the visual arrows lead to literally nothing except light yellows lol. I want that sign to burn in hell.

Just got a tablet for Christmas and have been playing with it for a few days, and even though I've never been much of a painter I've been enjoying this immensely. Does anybody out there have any experience with ArtRage and can offer any tips? Or maybe just point me in the direction of other great tablet painting software?

What materials did Theodor Kittelsen used for his ilustrations (such as pic related)?
Is it pastel?
Looks like its been done in oils to me

I think it's probably done with Gouache.

I have read that it was gouchae: you have a great eye.
But for me it is a problem: I have no idea of how to work with gouache.
I need your help /ic/
I've been thinking about creating a video game set in a cyberpunk setting, where the protagonist is, in a way, blind. He/She perceives the surrounding in a different, more artificial spectrum due to the augumentations.
My question is, can anyone recommend some aesthetic that would make the world seen by the protagonist appealing? All I can think of are really simple, unattractive designs that would bore anyone to death.
Video and pic somewhat related to the topic, also sorry for the shit quality on the vid, that's the only...

How's that dryin, bub? Looks like a pretty smooth clay. Have you hollowed out the back? Lots of differences in thickness puts a lot of stress on pieces. The thinner areas dry faster than the rest so they start to contract first and cracks begin. I like to wrap extremities in plastic, then drape paper towels over them, put them on a damp plaster bat, triple plastic wrap the whole thing for a week to even everything out, only then begin the drying process. The paper towels on top of the piece catch condensation...

How are my shitty plaster models gonna get better if no one else makes em!?
/ic/ is basically just an illustration board at this stage, which is openly hostile to contemporary art.
I'd love if there was a greater variety of artists here, but I can't help you out OP as I don't work in plaster!
I'd like to hear more details about what you've shown here, like size and purpose etc.

That's unfortunate
>which is openly hostile to contemporary art.

Zoomed in with an image editor and effects were used
Guys I have a question.
I'm still a beginner, working my way through Loomis and such, should I avoid trying to do finish work with stuff that I really have no idea of how to do? Or should I wait till I dominate the fundamentals to try and do finished work?
Finish works if you want, just don't expect them to be good.
I'd say just doing exercises for a while is probably a more productive use of your time while you're getting the basics down, but getting into the habit of actually finishing things is good, and you can learn plenty from doing something from start to finish and trying to refine it. A lot of people compulsively start things over and it stops them from working through their mistakes, they just restart with the first fuckup and don't learn from it. If you're trying to finish something, it means...

>>2332784
How much are you paying?
If the answer is "Nothing" you should consider killing yourself you fucking ignorant fucker.
>>2332784
Why not have the guy tattooing you design it? Since, i dunno, that's part of their fucking job?
Been slowly setting up my studio for the past few days. Lighting currently is shit, and I have a drafting table so keeping the light directly in the center of it is a bitch.
So looking for a lamp but .....is there any real difference in the lighting you use? I'm assaulted with so many different options. I've head that incandescent bulbs can distort the colors in whatever your painting.
Does anyone know if it makes any real difference? Aside from lighting up the place.
Never go for very strong light, or the glare will reflect off wet paint. The colour of the light should be white so that colours aren't lost. Colour light will mean that you won't be able to tell between different hues. Maybe look at lights that mimic daylight that let you change their brightness according to your needs. The best light to work in is diffused daylight from a window- not too bright or coloured.
