u dont need to make a new thread for dis.

thats a nice buddy
so?
How much realism do you need to understand before tackling stylize/cartoonish art?
>>2337259
Depends on the style and person. Some people go straight to stylized art and do well, others do realism first then shift over. /ic/ usually says you need to master realism first but that's demonstrably not true. So long as you have an understanding of form and other fundamentals you can begin stylizing. The issue is people will stylize without knowledge and produce crap or symbol-based work that looks flat and terrible.
you need drawing fundamentals, that's about it
>>2337261
And what would be considered drawing fundamentals? The sticky offers some info, but is all the info necessary?
I need creative help. Its been years since I've worked on any drawings or paintings if anyone has some ideas it would be much appreciated
If thats the only thing you've drawn in two years then you might as well switch to being one of those insta girls that take selfies in front of cool shit and take flicks of your food. At least you seem attractive enough for that.
>>2339961
I mean i have more stuff but at the moment im using my boyfriend's phone and thats all i could find of my work.
>>2339971
youre a girl and your slightly attractive. Just make a thread in which you offer tutoring from a competent artist in exchange for -[s]titpics[/s]- friendship. Tons of guys to be cucked around here :)
this has gathered a lot of attention in Scotland. Search the Glasgow effect on facebook and read the comments, What do you all think?
nigga I haven't left my city in over a year and I didn't even try.
wtf are they funding? she isn't doing anything.
You should post this on /pol/, you'll get a lot more shit flinging there.
>she's a woman
Even better.
Probably going to get another call center job tomorrow and the lady mentioned i could have some paper to scribble on. How much per hour would you be willing to forbid to get a job where you can draw? Any other people have jobs where you can draw ( if so where)?
Additionally question: People who gave up "teh Dream" Where are you working at now and whats the best panic transition out of a drawing career?
I work at a call center as a sales rep. I'll. tell you about it when I get home.
>>2339563
I'm back home. Don't get a job at a call center kids, it will kill every fiber of your mental energy. I know I talk to retards on this site everyday but it's on a whole other level when it comes to call centers--you're dealing with the cream of the crop kind of retards. I'm talking redneck white trash, old bitches about to inhale their last breath, bitch ass white cunts who act like little miss princess, jocks who call in to waste your time (and theirs), the Marian's who always laugh...

I'm doing full time hours as a history / geneology research assistant. I sometimes doodle at work when there's not much going on but even if you're working full time you can find plenty of time to draw after work, as long as you're not doing something so physically taxing that you're completely exhausted.

ITT : things that pisses you off as an artist or whatever you call yourself
>start sketching for some idea
>find a pose / composition that looks interesting
>realize it's something you've seen somewhere but can't remember where exactly so you can't even see if it's really that similar or not
pic related, still going with the one on the right but I'm pissed
>>2339628
That pose exists in like 70% of all action movies.
The question that you should be asking instead of has this pose been used before? is what makes this particular piece special?
>>2339628
You do realize that pose is probably one of the most generic action poses ever right? It's been in countless pieces of art and countless films. It's also not very practical in real life.
If she can do it /ic/, so can you.
Is that the woman from that manga? I thought she was fatter.
>>2339610
who? do what? Seems really easy to do honestly.
im sure at least 30% of us can do that.
>>2339614
oh, i see now, shes the vid whore. Ya i saw her instagram and shes terrible. youre acting as if being a porn actress changes anything to the equation.
Does anyone use super sculpey here? I want to sculpt something on top of a baked sculpey part but I don't want the new sculpey piece to stick to the old one. Is there any way to prevent the new piece from fusing to the old one when applied directly?
I'm a little confused on what you're asking exactly? You want to bake one piece, then create another piece to add onto the already baked part? What exactly are you making? The only thing I could think of is using wire to actually keep the pieces separate with a little bit of wiggle room but kind of hard to give advice when I'm not sure what you're trying to do.
Here's basically what it looks like. I have a face done and I want to sculpt the hair on, but I want them to be separate pieces because it'd be easier to sand the hair and paint the pieces that way.
Well it sort of worked when I left it outside to freeze so I can pop the piece off. Anyway SS seems like to break when I cut thin areas. Any better alternatives? I see the nips like to use polyester putty for their sculpts. How sturdy is it?
Artist like this guy is getting his dick sucked by the rich. Meanwhile you are just sitting here masturbating.
So what are does he have that you don´t?

a degree from Cooper Union, connections, black skin (essential for folk art and related styles), and as style that's currently "cool" in the world of fine art.

Autism?
Why aren't you making bank drawing weird yaoi?
Because I'm not good enough AND I wouldn't if I was.
Saki caught lightning in a bottle, good for her, that ain't me, nigga.
>>2337731
Is there even a market for yaoi?

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

here's my challenge, any crit apreciated
Ive been post in another thread. But, here's my current piece...
>>2335954
Here is the fixed version, or at least mostly fixed I wanna know if something is still wrong.
i've been to 4chan since 2009 and this my first time on this board having some questions the following piece of art was taken from a movie called we are your friends i liked it so much so any idea who is the original artist
So, this is my latest painting
You can interpret it however you like
my interpretation of it is that every color represents an idea/thought/conversation topic and how they go over into eachother in an endless spiral
also there is a touch of space added because I'm fascinated by space
>>2335590
gay
This seems like a fledgling idea aka not ready for a painting and even further from being ready for a critique. There is nothing to talk about here.
True beaty lies in the beholder though
