/ic/, what is your drawing/study schedule? What different studies do you do every day? I never know what to study and in what order so I end up not doing much. Ah, the problems of self-teaching.
I'm project oriented
I always try to aim towards a goal, say for example doing a sculpture, and when I get stuck or find difficulties I just study those until I can overcome. The result is that as long as I'm producing I'm always becoming better at something
no chart
I study what I want
I enjoy it
random subjects
that's it
enjoy life anon
I decide that day if I'm going to do perspective/figures/master/comp whatever then I do a few pages in my sketchbook or on Photoshop. Try to spend 3 or 4 hours a day on it, but I certainly dont hit that mark every day. Getting better at it though. I wonder how hard it would be to buy some Aderal

Don't know if the creator abandoned this or what but I have faith that /ic/ still has enough love for the greats to keep this alive.
>>2355352
Why, when wikiart exists?
>>2355372
I've always liked the tagging system in boorus, but with that said a good tagging system requires people tagging their stuff and knowing what tags to use.
>>2355372
I guess if it's /ic/ then people like frazetta, jones, mullins, zedig etc can be included
Can someone please finishe this drawing. Just the hair and dress

Sure, I charge $45/hr. I can send you an invoice for the work, just give me your email address.

>Literally a frame from Tangled
No.
I've began to write a short story and i would love feedback on it, thanks
Sun’s rays penetrated the torn flag that laid peacefully over a stained window, the rays gave off a melancholic shade of blue that represented the Union Jack that once was. The room was something of a depressing nature, all personality that belonged to the room was now gone, the painted white walls, chipped away to reveal a disgusting underlay, the wooden flooring, rotted away, the door barely hanging on to the one rusted hinge, the remaining letters on the center of the door that once spelt a name that is no more; A E X D R.
The room was stripped of all it’s basic furniture, all that was left was an oak coffee table with three legs and a cinderblock to support the weight of the items it held, these items included; 1 Fairbairn-Sykes knife, 1 General Service Respirator, 11 110 ml cans of red spray paint, 1 SIG-Sauer P226, 6 handgun magazines each full with 15 9x19mm bullets and 1 suppressor made to fit a handgun, a mirror standing upright against the table had a polaroid picture tucked into the top left of the frame concealing half of the photo. Below the photo showed a reflection of a grimy sleeping bag, it contained a figure.
I'd say that you shouldn't tell us what you want us to feel ( melancholy, the depressing nature of the room, disgust). don't spell it out. when a character is feeling depressed i guess you can say it, but when your trying to set the atmosphere, i think it would be more efficient not to spell it out.
I guess your writing calls for an objective narrator, just distributing facts about the room, letting us decide if it's disgusting or not. At least that's my opinion.
show don't tell.
Also I think the fact that the room no longer has furniture...

So there is a girl I like very much and I want to draw her dog and with some of her favorite words on his collar.
The thing is I dont know much about drawing and painting, as you can plainly see and I was hoping that someone could give me some tips to make the drawing better and more suitable for a 30 year old girl... I dont want it to be too cartoonish..... so if anybody could help me, that would be great and I would be forever gratefull.. Thanks in advance...
Well, I'm not that much of a pro, but I can give you some basic advice that should help you. First, try working with other canines, learn their anatomy, and then simplify it. Then, get your hands onto a picture of such dog, and use it as a reference as you draw. If you want realism with the collar, make sure you shade it right and make it look as if the hanging bit is actually metallic.
I've got a 25 dollar giftcard from christmas to burn. I only just thought of spending it on supplies. Aside from the obvious sketchbook any ideas of what to get? I found they've got blue erasable prismacolors for a fucking steal on here at 81 cents a pop. the only other thing i've got in the cart is a white gel pen. what should I stock up on? or maybe look into for experimentation/practice purposes? books, manuals?
>>2354744
ah right, should've mentioned. it's an amazon gift card.
>>2354744
>Make your own sketchbook, its cheaper.
>Order tools you need, not what you want
>HB pencils are cool
>>2354747
>make my own sketch book.
how the hell do i do that?
Yo /ic/, I just (maybe?) finished my first digital painting.
Please help

I want to get into painting canvas', but i want to get a paint brush set with a stand and some paint. Do you guys know where I can find good deals on sets like that ? Also what kid of paint do you recommend me to use for a beginner? I have a graffiti background with a little bit of skills in art but its been so long since I have drawn and I don't do graffiti and want to start painting on a canvas as a new hobby.
>>2353439
This is also my first time posting in this board so any advice would be nice.
>>2353439
Oils, or acrylics? Either way, a decent set of 10 to 12 colors is a decent starting point, and any set of brushes that includes so large a small flats and rounds is as good a starting place as any.
>>2353439
Bro I honestly go to wal mart and get their acrylic paint. The most expensive kind (Apple Barrel). It's like a dollar a bottle. And I also get my paintbrushes there. I don't remember seeing a stand. You will spend like 15 bucks for a ton of shit. And if you know how to mix colors... All u need is red, blue, yellow, white, black.
How hard is it to actually get into the rule34/hentai/furry/porn industry? How many pics on average would you have to draw for free before getting any money from it? (Patreon, commissions etc.)
Would you make more with just "normal" fan art?
If you're getting into art because you want money you're barking up the wrong tree. It's a high risk, low reward scenario where artists right now that are better than you may ever be are struggling.
>>2349496
Even the furry/fetish ones? I'm sure that fine artists are struggling, but the ones who o it only for fanservice, drawing shitty anime characters etc.
Ok, let's see highest paying jobs in Upwork in Design & Creative section!
