Ok, so I no longer give a shit or feel bad everytime some autistic fuck tell me I should study drawing foundamentals.
I know I'm not the best, but I've seen worse shit on professional works on anime and cartoons on TV.
So, my question is, stop giving a fuck about other people opinions means I have mature as artist?
Of course I don't mean I don't wanna keep improving nor studying anatomy, just that perfection is impossible, maybe some time a drawing will have a mistake you overlook or another reason why it fails, and sometimes your drawing...

How many years does it take before you start gaining a semblance of online popularity with your art?
I've given up on tailoring my online art presence for one day being able profit off my art (mainly because I don't think I'll have time for commissions anytime soon--also because of getting depressed with how profitable photobashing is when I don't find it fun and don't want to compete with that anyway).
I always liked showing my art to others as a kid but now that I'm around university students doing science/technology work no one cares about doodles except people online. Which is fine, I draw fan art for personal reasons and post it, but my stuff gets a couple of faves when I post and then no one ever views it again. It just feels kind of lonely.
Is it just a matter of time thing? Or do people make friends somehow that I'm not aware of?
I also barely have time for art anymore due to school, so I don't post often. Is that one reason why?
tl;dr I'm doing art as a hobby, how do I get more viewers/online friends who care about my work and presence (not to gain shekels but just for fun/interaction)

this, i used to draw at cafe's (with a agreement with the manager ofc, i payed intrest) and i could get around 45-60 tl (15-20 US dolars) around 30 minutes.The tip is to target the eccentric hipster girl with her showoff boyfriend, since the boyfriend is gonna be the one paying, and cannot look poor next to the girlie, you can rip him off without worry.Young married/engaged couples also apply.

Do you have to have a goal to draw? Do you really have to have something like "I want to X" or "become Y" to draw better with time? Do you really have to strive for fame/professional work and can't do it as a hobby long-term?

How about a thread showing great examples of animated movies? It can be 3d if you'd like but I think that defeats the purpose.
I'll start: I freaking love pic related.
It's adorable and its got a whole different feel to it that's not unlike Disney, except it isn't. The music is great too, and I love how very rooted it is in its culture's folklore. It's movies like this that make me wish that 3d animation wasn't dominating everything right now.

There's a consistency I see with many of your paintings. I notice it because I personally used to do this. The lips are too far forward. It always seems as if they are being pulled. They are also often too small. I think you should try to paint women in different angles. I only ever see the 3/4ths view, and never from above or anything. Also some full bodies would be nice.

Thanks for your helpful comment, anon! One of the issue I have is that I am painting from imagination, which is why the 3/4th view is most convenient for me. Also, regarding the lips, that is the size and shape of my lips, so I thought it was common for people to have such lips. But it's uplifting to read your comment. Thanks anon!

Yep, I see some people mention that you are not good but I don't think that's true. However, I do think you need to experiment more. I feel like with drawing from imagination, you also should observe things in live, like how you said with your drawings/paintings. Look at the picture I attached here. Maybe look at women's lips and draw some. I study anatomy as much as I do as drawing from imagination. I love learning as much as I love applying that knowledge.
