>considered and made plans for Art college here in Ontario
>Thought it was $1.5k per semester earlier
>Turns out it's $10k per year, $40k total
Who are these people kidding? I thought Canada was different from the states. Gouging people with these prices in return for completely mediocre teaching.
I only wanted to go because I need a fucking work visa cause 90% of the work is in the states. I think I will just either not go to college whatsoever, or some shitty...

Does 3D Animation has any advantages over the 2D Animation??? Is there something you can't achive doing normal drawings that you can in 3D?
style, bitch.
At this point it's just what kind of tone you want to convey.
>>2476190
anything you can do in 3d you can do in 2d. Just would take an incredibly amount of time to do a lot of 3d shit in 2d and that's including style. 3d is very hard to get a 2d look. Even the paperman video was very obviously 3d. As well, if you tried to do a 3d style in 2d it would take an insane amount of time doing all the paintings to be fully rendered the same way 3d is.
There is that and also pre-production and production differences. You can easily change the camera angle in 3d movies while you would...

quickly animating highly detailed characters at a high framerate
once you have all the models and textures made, you only really have to worry about armatures bugging out or artifacts in your final render (provided you're competent enough)
for 2d animation, it's going to take a long time to animate fully rendered pictures at upwards of 60fps or more

how does proportions for the legs work? bottom of knee to bottom of foot = crotch to bottom of knee? or is it slightly above the crotch to bottom of knee?
What should be the easier media to start painting? I am between oil pastels, gouache or watercolour.
>>2478511
I recommend oil, not for ease, but to build good painting habits, like blending colors to get a better fitting purple than one bought in a tube.
The easiest media for painting is digital, due to all the shortcuts.
Is it worth paying for proko?
>>2478308
>paying
Just pirate it
>>2478308
Or you can just read it from the masters that taught him. Everyone acts like he's some sort of pioneer but all he's really doing is just repeating advice read from the likes of vilppu and loomis. Infact, just youtube search vilppu and watch him draw. I promise you will be better for it then hearing it through some nerd re-hashing it for 70$ a piece
I think so, yes. Proko can be a silly fuck but he compartmentalizes the teachings of Loomis and Vilppu in an efficient way.
Hi. Relatively inexperienced with drawing and pretty new to tablet drawing. I'd love to hear some feedback. Thank you!

You're pretty talented! I like your style!

Thank you very much!
How long does it take to improve from a beginner level? And how much time daily/weekly does /ic/ recommend drawing?
>>2481131
here are my 2 cents
>How long does it take to improve from a beginner level?
you will probably notice improvement in a week since beginners have big gains. You won't be satisfied and will still be considered a beginner for many years.
>And how much time daily/weekly does /ic/ recommend drawing?
3-4 hours a day 3-4 days a week if you are a human. Too much and you will feel like its a chore, not enough and you won't get enough mileage fast enough
>>2481131
>How long does it take
Until you start seeing shapes properly
>How much time to draw
The amount that gives you steady progress.
Bonus:
>How do I plateau at beginner ?
Dunning Krugger, fundrawing, not looking at art critically and not looking at enough art.
>>2481131
Depends on what you consider "beginner" and on your set goal. Generally I'd try to make it a habit first. And better make it a fun one you stick with. Consistency is key. Get a sketchbook, draw at least 5 minutes a day. Trust me, you'll want to draw more. But set yourself achievable goals.
I've lately begun to really dig the art by the porn toon artist The PIT. I've been drawing my own porn toons for a long while and having seen his work would like to be able to draw exactly like him. Is it possible to draw exactly the same as someone else? If so how should I go about this?
Just copy his drawings until you internalize how he does it, cuck boy
>>2476753
How do you know when you've internalised it?
>>2476755
When your shit starts looking the same, even without directly referencing his works. Use your brain a little.
How much do you make on Patreon, /ic/? And what do you do?
I'm up to $200+ per month. I mostly do softcore erotic art.
How do you get noticed on patreon?
Let's say you draw the best porn ever but no one has seen your stuff, would people see your patreon page somehow if you set it up? Or would you need to have a prior fanbase on tumblr or something?
I don't know the site.
>>2460391
pretty sure some people just link watermarked images on related boards / forums etc. not sure though no one wants to patereon week oneâ„¢ tier talent
>>2460350
get on my level scrub
Not sure if this would be a place to discuss this, and I'm not very IN to art, but I enjoy it. Anyways, my friend recently painted these and gave them to me. What do you guys think they mean
They mean your friend is a faggot.
And also that you don't know how to take photos of art. And that you are possibly also a faggot.
Have any stories about getting caught drawing something that was slightly inappropriate? If you do feel free to share!

No because I am not autistic.
