What the fuck do I even use it for where a normal priced hot sauce doesn't work?
Because stupid people will ask for "Tabasco" instead of hot sauce.

Brand name matters in a word of idiots. People actually listen to ads, and respond to marketing. Brainwash them long enough, and a loyal following appears. It doesn't have to be a superior product, or a good value. It doesn't make sense, but people are really stupid and psychology is used against stupid people for profit.

Getting rid of some leftovers.
First I cooked down the soffrito.

Made a basic sauce base with beef stock, pasatta and tomatoes.
Season it with minced garlic, oregano and paprika.
Made some 50/50 beef pork meatballs with crushed crackers and chili powders
Browning them off in bacon fat with a dusting of corn flower.
/ck/ is slow today, gonna sit back with a coffee while the meatballs brown off.
Trying to get a good 'mallard reactor' on the meat. :^)
I bought a couple of Venison steaks yesterday, because they were marked down
How do I cook them? How do I know when they are Medium-Rare?

What places can you cu/ck/s not stand? I never really enjoyed Applebee's or Red Lobster. Applebee's food is just so average and boring it feels like ramen chefs like me can do way better at home. Red Lobster is just kin of meh for seafood, especially since I live in Florida. Theres so many better seafood joints around. But those Cheddar Bay Biscuits are pretty dank

My friend in Japan said I should try this sake called Kirishima Brilliant. She said it's made in her hometown and is good and cheap. I'd like to try it, but I don't know if it's available in the US. Anyone know? Is it good and how much is it?
I've never seen it at the high-end liquor stores I go to but I've only gone specifically looking for sake a couple times. Given that it comes in something that looks like a milk carton I might have ignored it subconsciously. I'll have to check the next time I'm looking at the exotic imports.
I could be wrong, but is that a shochu? I have a bottle of aka kirishima, same label but red. I know they make a black label that's less expensive. It's available in most japanese supermarkets. But we have a lot of those in California, don't know where you are.

My friend called it sake, but after some googling it may be shochu. Her english isn't perfect. I'm in Kansas, which has a fairly surprising asian population, so it's possible I'll find it. The odds don't sound good, but still possible.
