http://www.wsj.com/articles/mondelez-makes-takeover-bid-for-hershey-1467297248
>tfw you just know Hershey quality control cancer will spread to Cadbury UK and ruin chocolates there too
hershey rejected the bid. and why would you think hershey's quality control would move to cadbury if cadbury's parent company purchased hershey? wouldn't it be the other way around?
>>7836187
Cancers have a way of spreading.
If cancers could be excised, Hershey's QC problems would have been solved decades ago.
>>7836093
so wait Mondolez is the good guys?
Just moved into this house and this is the kitchen. Is this well designed? The thing is massive just wondering if you would move anything or rearrange it at all? Ty
Well is it comfortable for you. It does maintain the kitchen triangle for the most part. I wound probably feel like it's heaven.
Totally meant that first one to be posed as a question BTW. I habitually get ahead of myself.
You're supposed to be able to draw a triangle between the fridge, sink, and stove and not have the combined length of the triangle sides be more than such and such.
Considering that, your kitchen looks fairly well designed. On top of that you have the sink and dishwasher over on the other side so you don't have dirty cookware getting in your way if you'll be cooking several dishes.
How much goldfish is too much goldfish. This is the size of my fucking coffee maker. Any Brits jealous?
flavor blasted a shit. colors or bust
>Keurig
Enjoy your shit coffee?
Cuz its not coffee.
I ate one of those boxes in two days. Never again.
>live at apartment complex
>urge to grill for the 4th
>not allowed grills
>only one shared grill and it smells like beer
>no chance in hell of being able to use it this Monday
Can we share woes?
>>7835991
just use yer broiler ya dingus its austrailian grilling
I also live in an apartment complex that doesn't allow grilling, sweating nightly in my kitchen instead of enjoying the great outdoors and having various grilled meats is seriously soul crushing
I know this feel. I just use a small electric grill on my stovetop.
We used to be allowed to have a grill on our balcony, but retards kept calling the fire department because they saw smoke coming off the building, so we can't do that anymore.
You fucked with these yet??
Can't find them in any stores here
are these a different kind of flamin hot or are they cheesy + habanero?
>>7835988
They're like a hotter version of the jalapeno ones.
How many calories does this have?
idk maybe like 7
>>7835767
if you don't know, round up. I'd say that's more than enough for 1 day's worth of food.
Please dont eat anything other than that today
>>7835806
id say a bit more, maybe around 9 or 10
definitely 11 if you have diabetus
Yo /ck/.
Recently I started eating these. They're not the tastiest thing imo, but they give me a slow burn euphoric sensation for hours after consumption, after I've started eating them I have more energy, I get spontaneous erections again, which I haven't had since I was like 14, I feel less depressed, I feel less anxious, I feel more in control of myself.
Is this normal? Can Some kinda nutritional deficiency do this? Or am I just falsely attributing an unexplainable phenomena to the only obvious change in lifestyle? I honestly have a hard time believing...

you should start dipping them in maple-mayo.
>>7835779
Is this a new meme?
Are you putting them in the right hole?
I mean erection after eating potatoes... :v
Do you make your own chips?
Why would I? Who on earth aside from Martha Stewart herself would actually spend four hours and all that mess to make what you can buy in a bag for $2.99 and get great results every time. Pointless project.
>>7835671
Baked or fried corn tortilla chips are pretty gud, never made potato ones though.
>>7835681
>four hours and all that mess
I just slice potatoes with a mandolin, toss them into hot oil and fish them out once golden brown. Spread on paper towels if you want to remove grease. Takes like ten minutes total, with 1-2 minutes actual work.
Does imitation artificial crab meat count as vegan/ virgin?
>>7835628
Sorry meant to say vegan/ vegetarian.
Yeah as long as you don't know what is in it, the fish that died for it doesn't count.
It's made out of compressed fishmeal, so no.
Why are strawberries so goddamn overrated? They taste like shit. Only 1 in every 10 strawberries is actually sweet and the rest are just shit. I don't see how do many people like then
>>7835543
Because other people buy better strawberries than the crap you've been tasting.
Produce varies wildly in quality. It sounds like you had some shitty farmed-out-of-season and picked-before-they-were-ripe strawberries. Typical for supermarkets, really.
>>7835547
And that concludes another thread.
Good work, anon.
Only home grown strawberries taste like strawberries. Pick-your-own works too... the tastiest strawberries do not pack or ship well.
Chef's knife vs Santoku
If you have one is there any reason to buy the other?
>>7835518
Depends on what you need to do with them. For most home cooking you could probably use either.
Though, I prefer the chef's knife for two reasons:
1) It's longer, and thus is easier to use for things that require a long blade, like slicing a roast, cutting steaks, or opening large fruit.
2) It has a narrower point which is more convenient when you need to get into a narrow spot, like coring out peppers or boning meat.
>>7835527
This guy has good points. Also think about what style of cutting you prefer. Chef's knives are for rolling, santoku's are for more up/down chopping
>>7835518
Santoku better for dicing veggies. Straight up and down. They also usually have a nice rock to them.
Hi guys what tea do you drink, also eny tips on drinking matcha tea if you find it too bitter
>>7835326
If you have shit quality matcha it will taste very bitter. "Ceremonial grade" is supposed to be the best, but there is good quality matcha below that grade - just make sure you aren't buying the cheapest stuff you can find. I get mine from "Tokyo Matcha Exchange" online, 100g for £10.
After that, make sure you don't use boiling water. Get it hot but not too hot that it burns your tongue. A good indicator is boiling the water then leaving it in the mug for ~60 seconds before adding...

Excuse me for not being autistic enough to whip out a thermometer every time I feel like a cup of tea
This has been going on to me for the past year, anyone else ever experienced this?
I noticed how much I adored Almond milk and skim milk, and noticed whole milk made me puke, no matter the circumstance
I noticed it when eating fast food for the first time in months too
Basically I feel my diet being restricted more and more to oil free foods like rice and beans, steamed chicken and chickpeas. Should I reverse there trends or any ideas in support of it?
You've got gallstones, OP.
Go get yourself checked (at a radiology place) and then consider your options.
>>7835300
RIP
Whole milk only contains 3.5% fat. If this is too fat for you to puke then you should realistically not be able to eat most meats, and a fuckton other dishes.
I rarely get on this board but I need some help and you guys seem pretty level-headed.
Do you guys have any tips on how to make French Onion Soup? I'm supposed to cook for it for my family tonight, but the last time I tried cooking it I under-sauteed the onions and put a billion kale leaves into the broth. Is there any advice or lesser-known things that I can do to make it so that we're not just eating regular onions in a broth?
>>7835122
You need to set aside at least a couple of hours to properly caramelize the onions before you even begin the rest of the preparation. Also, why the fuck are you putting kale anywhere near French onion soup?
>>7835141
I saw a recipe that had a couple of leaves. I thought I just put too many in. Should I just keep them out? Also, do I really need to caramelize the onions for two whole hours? Wouldn't that burn them?
Sorry, I'm new to this.
>>7835122
Cook your onions on medium-low for a few hours with butter or olive oil.
When does spicy food stop burning your ass? I had some habaneros yesterday that are coming out like nuclear warfare.
>>7834920
I'm white as fuck and for most of my life I was a pussy with hot food, and I never encountered this problem except for when I was under 10 years old.
Do you currently eat it on a regular basis? I would try doing that for awhile, and it that doesn't work, I don't really know, maybe you can't gain an immunity to that kind of thing.
>>7834920
Ass-Volcanoism is a strange thing. For me, one day my immunity just disappeared and I started having ass burns which I'd never experienced before.
>>7834920
You don't have to eat unreasonably spicy foods to prove you are a man, OP.
You prove you are a man through knowledge tests and doing sex on people.
